Former Congressman John Leboutillier reports on a Memorial Day confrontation between Sen. John Kerry and a fellow Vietnam veteran:
Democratic senator - and certain presidential nominee - John F. Kerry gave the middle finger to a Vietnam veteran at the Vietnam Memorial Wall on Memorial Day morning, NewsMax.com has learned.
Ted Sampley, a former Green Beret who served two full tours in Vietnam, spotted Kerry and his Secret Service detail at about 9:00 a.m. Monday morning at the Wall. Sampley walked up to Kerry, extended his hand and said, "Senator, I am Ted Sampley, the head of Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, and I am here to escort you away from the Wall because you do not belong here."
At that point a Secret Service officer told Sampley to back away from Kerry. Sampley moved about 6 feet away and opened his jacket to reveal a HANOI JOHN T-shirt.
Kerry then began talking to a group of schoolchildren. Sampley then showed the T-shirt to the children and said, "Kerry does not belong at the Wall because he betrayed the brave soldiers who fought in Vietnam."
Just then Kerry - in front of the school children, other visitors and Secret Service agents - brazenly 'flashed the bird' at Sampley and then yelled out to everyone, "Sampley is a felon!"
Kerry was referring to an incident 12 years ago when Sampley confronted Sen. John McCain's chief aide, Mark Salter, in a Senate stairwell after McCain repeatedly offended POW families at a Senate POW hearing. Sampley, whose father-in-law at that time was MIA in Laos, followed Salter into the stairwell and, when they emerged, Salter had a bloody lip and a broken nose.
Sampley's group, Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, has garnered huge national attention and has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post and on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country." Tens of thousands of Vietnam vets have registered their opposition to Kerry through Sampley's group.
Clearly Sampley has gotten under Kerry's skin once again.

"A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is.... A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in."

He would have to be convicted of the felony before the 'accusation' was true, IMO.

Even in his own estimation he doesn't measure up. I wonder if Theresa knows.
He even roots for W!
And wants four more years for him!
Kerry IS Unfit to be Commander-in-Chief...MUD
Bump this to the top.

Completely disturbing.
Kerry, as we know him now, is hollow to a degree I don't think even krinton achieved. At least krinton was pathological. Seems to me, even a nest full of snakes in the skull qualifies as having something to call a persona. Kerry, OTOH, lumbers and creaks along through the political landscape like a zombie from the 'Night of the Living Dead.'
As it stands, he isn't running on his Lt. Governor's record with Dukakis (good reason, that) and he's not really touting his 20 years sucking the federal teat in the Senate either. All we really have is his proxies cheering their lungs out about the Viet Nam heroism of this freak of nature (and hissing their Bush hatred on the intake breath) and then, of course, his own constant and idiotic references to the same ('...this lamp-post and hamburger remind me of my service in Viet Nam...').
In distilled substance, he offers nothing but criticisms of Bush and proposes stolen and repainted policies Bush is already pursuing. Well, of course, he IS offering the usual grab-bag of leftist boondoggles and wealth theft schemes, but in sum, the man himself is nothing, he offers nothing, and most staggeringly, he answers nothing -at all - ever. He is, in effect, a ghostly no-man, a wraith, a ghastly mannequin that is running for President.
The press blithely goes along with the charade as they did with krinton's sexual assualts and politely look the other way. 'Don't you know it's rude to ask any substantive questions of a Democratic candidate?'
We all know that he actually is alive (despite his uncanny resemblance to Frankenstein's monster) because Ter-A-sah wrinkles her nose is disgust when he touches her. Somewhere, deep inside the appearance of an embalmed ectomorph from an anatomy lab, we all know that a wriggling knot of eels thrashes about in the vacuum of his empty soul. What are they feeding on? What will they feed on if he gains the White House?
He is like the candidate Greg Stilson from Stephen King's book 'The Dead Zone.'
Let's hope they have a real picture.
It's amazing how kerry manages to make "empty" ugly and horrific.
Well said.
I am currently doing a related flash movie on a similar theme...
If it exists, it may very well surface. Should be worth a pretty penny.

The only remaining question: What event will cause Kerry to use a baby as his shield.
I went to Ted Sampley's booth this morning to arrange a wholesale purchase of his anti-Kerry stickers for distribution over the summer. He told me that he heard that Kerry snuck over to The Wall for a photo-op early this morning while it was raining and no vets were around. Sampley immediately went over there and approached Kerry with his hand extended. As Kerry took his hand, Sampley opened his vest to reveal his "Stop Hanoi John Kerry" T-shirt and then said, "Mr. Kerry, my name is Ted Sampley and I'm here to escort you from The Wall." Mr. Kerry's secret service agent then stepped in and Kerry gave Sampley the "Bird." Mr. Sampley's response was, "Very Presidential!"

Oh, I'd suspect most anything that actually threatens his life. Fictional heroism aside, I'd wager Mr. Kerry is every bit as self serving and cowardly as the fictional Mr. Stilson.
The remaining questions in my mind are:
1. Will the press actually take photos of Kerry and will they report his human-shield activities? (If their current track record is any indication, then NO.)
2. In the wake of exposure, will the fictional Kerry do the honorable thing like fictional Stilson? (If his current track record is any indication, then NO.)
Looking for one of those photo of kerry trying to plant a kiss on his wife, who seems to recoil in disgust.
If anyone has one, pls post or provide link. thx.
bump. wasn't the sheen character a Republican? That would account for the Newsweek, Time, etc. covers...
