Number 5: not tuna. Sardines and Mackeral. Costco has both and often on sale. They are like miracle foods and because they have a short life and are low on the food chain, there is a LOT les mercury to worry about.

I regularly use stuff that has expired with caution of course....with canned tomato products I boil them for at least 10" before using them...
sugar and salt should remain safe forever if kept cool and dry and away from pests....

Oats are another good one. It can be tossed into soups to add bulk.
Split peas/lentils would fall under beans, but they are a bit easier to cook

#5 Honey. I kept bees a while back. As I was clearing out my garage I found a 5 gallon bucket of honey with the date 1984 on it. I opened it up expecting to find a crystalized solid mass. To my surprise it was still liquid. It was dark, but as I recalled it was dark when I harvested it. Tasted just fine.
