Should a Soldier serve if he doesn't believe the president is legitimate?
Yes, a Soldier takes an oath to serve the nation and President Obama was duly elected. 1st Lt. Easterling is just trying to get publicity and he should be court martialed.
If a Soldier in good conscience does not believe the president is constitutionally eligible to serve, he should not execute his duties and is right to protest the president's orders.
Easterling should continue to honor the dignity of his men by executing his orders as given. He should pursue other avenues to challenge the legitimacy of the president

God bless you and thank you for your service, TN! No, this situation is unbelievable.
OMG.

Hey potlatch!
I looked into that a bit...found this:

which linked to this:

Interestingly, the infowars page also says BO’s 2nd oath was taken ‘sans Bible’.
Don’t know what to make of any of it, but thought it was worth investigating.
So, the second link infers that it is a ‘satire piece’. I don't recall where I read it now but knowing what we know about Obama it would not surprise me to learn it's true.
I also remember reading long ago that Obama wanted a ‘second’ group of some sort - equal to the Military and that sounded frightening.
I did know he didn't use a Bible when taking the second oath. If that was a ‘set up’ Justice Roberts would have to have been involved in the deceit.
It's like “Alice In Wonderland” keeping track of what Obama does. Thanks for your research Freema.
The truth wont be verified until he is out of office, but then it will be the talk in all the soup kitchen and welfare lines.
Thanks
I enjoyed reading the thread so far.
Yes, I know one Arlington resident who would be very upset by this development. I often think he would be so very upset by recent events in this country.
When a service person writes his congressman or woman..their files are flagged and the Headquartes will know they did this..it can be career ending.
It was reproted that the plan for all military to take an oaf o 0bama was a hoax. That said, with the shadow govt he is trying to build with all his czars and taking things directly to the WH, don’t be surprised if this were to come to pass.
It is like Alice in Wonderland. My head is spinning trying to keep track of his doings. Now there’s a picture in my mind’s eye. The Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter in the Oval Office doing a fist bump with Alice stepping into a mirror in that fireplace.
Also-I’m pinging the gang with the announcement that BO is flying into Cherry Point this week to make his next little grand pronouncement at Camp Lejeune that Iraq will be empty in 18 months. I hope the SOB has packed his t-shirt.
Is this his “Dear Marines, you’re fired!” tour?
He hasn’t earned the right to wear that t-shirt, if you are thinking of the same one I am.
Same here. My uncles who served decided to go in the family plot near DC instead of Arlington, but I fully expect to see the grass disturbed next time I go over there.

72% think there’s something worth pursuing. That’s good news.
His career is probably over, at this point, but I am glad he is taking a stand.
Unless Oblahblah is proven a fraud then he'll be a hero equal to the Founders in my eyes.
Yup.
One couldn’t make conservatives look more nutty if they tried.
