Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Question: How Can I Apply for a Passport if I Don't Have a U.S. Birth Certificate?

Answer: The U.S. government prefers to issue American passports only to U.S. citizens. You need to prove your citizenship during the passport application process, normally with a U.S. birth certificate. Getting an American passport without a U.S. birth certificate is not impossible, though. The following information comes directly from the U.S. Department of State.

What You Will Need if You do Not Have a Certified Birth Certificate

1. Letter of No Record

• Issued by the State including your name, date of birth, which years were searched for a birth record and (the fact) that there is no birth certificate on file for you.
  Call the government of the state in which you were born - an online search of that state's website will give you the telephone number for the Department of Vital Records.

2. As many of the following as possible:

• Baptismal certificate
• Hospital birth certificate
• Census record
• Early school record
• Family bible record
• Doctor's record of post-natal care

These documents must be early public records showing the date and place of your birth, preferably created within the first five years of your life.

• You may also submit an Affidavit of Birth form DS-10 from an older blood relative, i.e.: a parent, aunt, uncle or sibling who has personal knowledge of your birth. It must be notarized or show the seal and signature of the acceptance agent.

  Born Abroad to US Parents

  If you were born abroad and do not have a Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certificate of Birth on file, the Department of State has these instructions:
  1. If you claim citizenship through birth abroad to one U.S. citizen parent, you will need:
  • Foreign birth certificate
  • Proof of citizenship of your U.S. citizen parent
  • An affidavit of your U.S. citizen parent showing all periods and places of residence or physical presence in the United States and abroad before your birth
  2. If you claim citizenship through birth abroad to two U.S. citizen parents, you will need:
  • Your foreign birth certificate
  • Parent's marriage certificate
  • Proof of citizenship of your U.S. parents and an affidavit of your U.S. citizen parents showing all periods and places of residence of physical presence in the United States and abroad before your birth

  What is *Not* Proof of Citizenship?

  • Voter registration cards
  • Army discharge papers

I suspect that somewhere in the process, a candidate for President of the United States must present his bona fides to the Federal Election Commission or somesuch to prove his eligibility. I don’t know whether this has to wait until he is the actual nominee of his Party or what...

I can't agree that anything that insignificant would cause him such silence on the issue. I tend to agree with the passport-obtained-by-forged-b.c. people, OR yes, something on an original that he obtained the passport with, and doesn't want revealed now, thus the "revised edition." OR...my mind's still ticking...

When I magnified your picture of the certificate, I could see a date stamped on the back of the document that bled through...Jun 6 2007. What does that date signify?

It was the OR that did it! Something just clicked! (I'm going to get flamed,) but what IF...his daddy is neither African, nor Kenyan nor Negro on the birth cerficate, but ARAB?

Here is the truth about Mr. Obama's name, and his father's ancestors: True Negro tribal members of western Kenya where his father was born have Christian names, not Arabic. His father's decision to name him with an Arabic name is a matter of his father establishing his ethnic identity in Africa - it is done deliberately to separate him from the African tribes. He may live among them, but he is not one of them. His father's message is that he is Arabic, not Negro.

Im with you on that one...this from a thread days ago...

I think its something else as well, not whether hes a citizen or not. I find the race description “African” odd, maybe that’s the item being messed with. I’ve read on a number of threads that he’s only 6% black or some such nonsense. I know this is out there, but maybe he father was listed as something other than black (Arab maybe) and they are trying to hide that.

Did my best to get the image blown up to post (where the hash marks don’t match) but can’t figure out how to do it and keep good resolution. Simply copy dna’s image and reduce brightness to -70 (I use serif photoplus so not sure if the # is same for reg photoshop.) Look at the = (hash marks) under the FA in “FATHERS RACE” and the = (hash marks) under the MO in “MOTHERS RACE” and let me know if you see the same thing I see (hash marks not lining up)

Just my opinion but it looks like OpenDNA copied the KOS file (his version is of less resolution-see post #527) and in response to jokes about McCains birth certificate created a blank one for posters to mess with for mcCain (he never “suggests that others “print one up” for candidate Obama” as the article claims)

The original KOS version may very well be a forgery, thats not my argument, but this OpenDNA creation and this story seems like a dead end. (again-I hope I’m wrong and those of you talking about “time stamps” please feel free to go into more detail)

Don’t they have court houses in Hawaii? Isn’t his birth registered there, or somewhere at some official site in Hawaii? Can’t some intrepid “investigator” take this as an excuse to take a nice trip to Hawaii and just look up the documents there?

I say again, this is a side show. We need to be informing the public what a Marxist Obama truly is, not that some weird fan of his feels like he has to fake a birth certificate.
