Obama amputates our nuclear arms

Under President Obama’s new policy, however, if the state that has just attacked us with biological or chemical weapons is “in compliance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty,” explained Gates, then “the U.S. pledges not to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against it.”
Imagine the scenario: Hundreds of thousands are lying dead in the streets of Boston after a massive anthrax or nerve gas attack. The president immediately calls in the lawyers to determine whether the attacking state is in compliance with the NPT. If it turns out that the attacker is up-to-date with its latest IAEA inspections, well, it gets immunity from nuclear retaliation. (Our response is then restricted to bullets, bombs and other conventional munitions.)
However, if the lawyers tell the president that the attacking state is NPT noncompliant, we are free to blow the bastards to nuclear kingdom come.
This is quite insane. It’s like saying that if a terrorist deliberately uses his car to mow down a hundred people waiting at a bus stop, the decision as to whether he gets hanged or 100 hours of community service hinges entirely on whether his car had passed emissions inspections.
Apart from being morally bizarre, the Obama policy is strategically loopy. Does anyone believe that North Korea or Iran will be more persuaded to abjure nuclear weapons because they could then carry out a biological or chemical attack on the United States without fear of nuclear retaliation?
The naivete is stunning.

Brennan IDs Hizbullah as major U.S. intel target at home and abroad
White House Deputy National Security Adviser John Brennan said recently that
Iran’s main terrorist surrogate, the Lebanon-based Hizbullah, is a major
target of U.S. intelligence agencies both abroad and in the United States.

to handle any Hizbullah attacks in the United States that could be triggered
by a U.S. or Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.
He replied that U.S. law enforcement agencies are working to monitor

Other U.S. intelligence sources have said the United States lacks a good
understanding of Hizbullah networks in the United States or even in South
America, where the group is known to be working, especially in the
tri-border region.

Hizbullah helping Hamas install remote-control rocket launchers
TEL AVIV - Israel has learned that Hamas is building remote-control rocket
launchers in the Gaza Strip.
The state-sponsored Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center said the
Hamas military has constructed sites that contained launchers designed to
automatically emerge from underground bunkers and fire short- and
medium-range rockets. The center said Hamas was assisted by the
Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah, which employed remote-controlled rockets in the
war against Israel in 2006.
“The positions dug at such launch sites provide an ability to launch rockets
at Israel at the push of a button, making the presence of human operators
near the rockets unnecessary,” the center said.

Israelis could choose missiles over fighter jets for strike on Iran
WASHINGTON - Israel could forego fighter-jets and instead use
intermediate-range ballistic missiles to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons
facilities, a report said.
The Bipartisan Policy Center asserted that Israel’s military could shelve
plans for a massive fighter-jet attack on Iran because of the distance and
difficulties in winning the approval of Teheran’s neighbors to use their air
space. Instead, the center said in a report, Israel could opt to employ its
intermediate-range missile arsenal, deemed as sufficiently accurate to
destroy Iranian nuclear facilities.

START has released an update to its Global Terrorism Database (GTD), a
comprehensive open-source database including information on terrorist
attacks around the world between 1970 and 2008. The GTD includes
systematically collected data on both domestic and international terrorist
incidents. The expanded data just released include new information through
December 2008 and additional new cases from supplemental data collection
projects, including high-profile assassinations and terrorism in the United
States.
The 2008 Data
* Includes over 2,500 bombings, 1,100 armed assaults, 200 assassinations,
300 facility/infrastructure attacks, and 300 kidnappings.
* The most common type of target is Private Citizens and Property (31%),
followed by Government (15%), Business (9%), and Police (9%).
* 50 new terrorist organizations were added to the data.
The GTD now includes data on over 87,000 terrorist attacks worldwide between
1970 and 2008:
* Over 2,200 attacks occurred in the United States.
* The database includes attacks that were carried out as well as those that
were attempted but not successful.
* Includes over 38,000 bombings, 21,000 armed assaults, 13,000
assassinations, 6,000 facility/infrastructure attacks, 4,000 kidnappings,
and 700 hostage taking incidents.
* The attacks in the GTD are attributed to over 2,100 terrorist groups.
Improvements and added functionality to the GTD search interface and search
results include:
* Searches and graphing of activity of multiple perpetrator groups
* Searches and graphing of activity in multiple countries
* Restrict search results based on whether the attack was a suicide attack
* Restrict search results based on whether the attack was successful
* Browse cases by date of attack
* Incident page includes indication of uncertainty where the identity of the
terrorist group is unclear.
* Incident page includes any available details about the name of the
perpetrator group to which the attack is attributed, including faction name
where available.

GTD - The full dataset can be downloaded through the “Contact” section of
the website. The Global Terrorism Database (GTD) is an open-source database

Robbers are 2 asian men in their 20’s, no, I do not know what type of asian, but that is what they call the mideastern type of
