That you do. Right now, with a basicaly stock gun and $50 optics, it's a 1 MOA gun and a 1 MOA shooter. With a new triger group and match grade ammo, I could probably get it to tighten up to 1/2 MOA. That is about as good as this rifle will ever get.

Full on MOD guns can hit groupings of less than 1/8" at 100 yards. 1/8 MOA. I need 1/4 MOA or better to compete in a Limited class. I'm not sinking the $3-4k into an all out modded new gun to go Open class though. Ain't gonna happen. I'd step up to a .338 and go for 1000 yrd stuff first. ;-)

Hmmm... yah, bet you're right.

We have it all down now for when the power goes out. Grab the nearest flashlight, head to the dining room, pull out & light the candles, set up particular stations with candles, lower the (insulated) roman blinds, determine which woodstove to light (upstairs or downstairs), consider what we'll do about dinner... because the power is usually out for hours, often many.

The goodwife has been setting up a new laptop for a friend; I told her she probably had 3-4 hours of life, and by then we'd be ensconced in the family room downstairs, and I could bring in about 6 hours from the car...

One of these years we'll have to get a generator.
