I know I’m going to garner a lot of bitter reactions, but I just have to question this devotion to Sarah Palin as our candidate for 2012. Am I the only one that thinks conservatives are falling into the whole cult of personality with regard to Sarah Palin much the same way the Left did with Obama? I’m not comfortable with her just bailing on Alaska, she’s the one that allowed Levi Johnston to knock up her daughter, and I don’t want a reality TV. candidate - I want a serious conservative thinker with the stomach for policy. I’d much...

A PAKISTANI court has sentenced to death a Christian mother-of-five for blasphemy, the first such conviction of a woman and sparking protests from rights groups overnight. Asia Bibi, 45, was sentenced on Tuesday by a local court in Nankana district in Pakistan's central province Punjab, about 75km west of the country's cultural capital of Lahore. Pakistan has yet to execute anyone for blasphemy, but the case spotlights the Muslim country's controversial laws on the subject which rights activists say encourages Islamist extremism in a nation wracked by Taliban attacks. Asia's case dates back to June 2009 when she was asked...

I am sick and tired of this site being taken over by Catholics ( of which I am one ) stories or proverbs. This is a news site not a religion site. Go do that somewhere else. I am not opposed to your prostilazion(sp), just not here. We lose credibility if any religious group dictates or can be quoted from this site. As a long term member of this site I regret posting this information, but the site has been buried in Catholic stuff recently and it should be shunted to some separate page.

Viral video: Is it appropriate to use children yelling profanity to push a scheme that gives $5 to unspecified charities from every $13 t-shirt they sell? CAUTION: Extreme profanity in this clip. Many F-bombs unloaded.

Transcript from the video, Dr Sabrosky speaking: “They did 9/11, they did it, I have had long conversations over the past two weeks with contacts at the Army War College and at Headquarters Marine Corps, and I have made it absolutely clear in both cases that it is 100% certain that 9/11 was a Mossad operation..period” “9/11 has led directly to 60,000 Americans dead and wounded, God knows how many hundreds of thousands of people in other countries that we’ve killed or wounded or made homeless, and its an ongoing sore” “this is an open wound, and what Americans need...

I would rather people die or be poor than be forced to help them. Being forced to help others is not the American way! It's downright anti-Christian of the government to tell me I have to pay for other people's health care! Besides, everyone knows that a public option can't work. Why can't DUMBocrats get it through their thick skulls that it won't work? NO OTHER FIRST-WORLD NATION HAS EVER HAD A SUCCESSFUL GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH PROGRAM. Don't get me wrong, here. I'm not a Republican. They're both two sides of the same coin. I mean, I've voted Republican in every...

Three months ago, I joined a number of Americans in urging President Obama to provide the resources necessary to achieve our goals in Afghanistan. Tonight, I am glad he mostly heeded that advice........

President Barack Obama's speech Tuesday night at West Point was loose with the facts, to put it generously. It's disgraceful that the "Commander-in-Chief" would use this important address before our Cadets of West Point to perform his usual deception, omission, blame, lack of responsibilty, and self-promotion. If Obama can't be can't be straight with the military, who can he be honest with

The President finally presented his Afghanistan plan. He started out well, but spent the rest of his speech apologizing for the United States, kissing the posteriors of his progressive base, and showcasing his lack of resolve to our terrorist enemy. It was not a rally the troops we are going to win this thing speech. It was a I am still not committed to this war, speech. His message was "Ok Lets try this, but if it doesn't work we are going to cut and run." The below is the text of Obama's speech, annotated with some insight and comments...

Climate-change skeptics are barking up the wrong smokestack. The shell game being played isn't with the science, it's with the solutions — specifically, the carbon emissions targets that enlightened world leaders are pledging to meet. That's where the numbers don't add up. When the Copenhagen climate summit convenes next week, the European nations that have led the crusade against global warming will be able to report that the continent has met the targets for carbon emission reductions set in the 1997 Kyoto Protocol. There may be shoulder dislocations from all the self-congratulatory back-patting. But the Kyoto targets were well on...

Via Greg Hengler. The data’s in a dumpster and the analysts have been discredited, but the science itself remains pristine, my friends. When asked about Climategate last week, The One’s climate czar literally shrugged it off. Would the head of the UN’s body on global warming fare better? Of course not: Pachauri said the large number of contributors and rigorous peer review mechanism adopted by the IPCC meant that any bias would be rapidly uncovered. “The processes in the IPCC are so robust, so inclusive, that even if an author or two has a particular bias it is completely unlikely...

As GE prepares for an expected $30 billion deal that will give control of NBC to cable TV operator Comcast Corp., the conglomerate is shifting its focus back to its industrial divisions. GE is shrinking its finance arm that has been severely buffeted by the financial crisis. It has sold some businesses and shopped others around. And it is chasing nearly $200 billion in stimulus money from worldwide governments, much of it earmarked for such products as medical equipment and wind turbines. This new GE will likely look a lot like GE did before it acquired NBC in 1986. GE...

It seems simple to write off the four elections that got much of the attention last month in New Jersey, Virginia, New York and California. Democrats and Republicans each won two, so what really changed? They weren't indicative nationally and represented no more than local issues playing out locally, right? Wrong. They represented a conservative groundswell — ideologically and personally. The table below shows the four races. The first two columns indicate the percentages of the vote total gained by each party in the 2008 presidential election and the 2009 state and congressional elections. The third column shows the difference...

Brit Hume Says Dem Sen. Blanche Lincoln is the Senator to Watch in Health Care Battle - Video Freedom's Lighthouse ^ | November 30, 2009 | Brian Posted on Monday, November 30, 2009 11:59:23 PM by Federalist Patriot Here is video of Fox News' Brit Hume today talking about "cracks" in the Democratic coalition necessary to pass ObamaCare in the U.S. Senate. Hume said Sen. Blanche Lincoln is the senator to watch because ObamaCare is "wildly unpopular" in her home state of Arkansas. Hume believes it is possible the Democrats could persuade Lincoln, Nelson, and Landrieu to vote for cloture...

Here is video of Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters tonight saying she is "saddened" that a "bright, articulate" President Obama has decided to send more troops to Afghanistan. Waters said Obama's strategy "doesn't work for me," and that she "will not support" Obama's efforts. Waters indicated Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee feels the same way. . . . (VIDEO)

Announcing the results of his administration's first policy review on Afghanistan more than eight months ago, President Barack Obama declared, "I want the American people to understand that we have a clear and focused goal: to disrupt, dismantle and defeat al-Qaida in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and to prevent their return to either country in the future." To achieve those goals, the president explained, "we need a stronger, smarter and comprehensive strategy." Unfortunately, the strategy Obama announced tonight will not achieve it. (excerpt) What Obama fails to understand, however, is that the surge is not only a military strategy, but a...

"WASHINGTON -- The standoff between the White House and the Congressional Black Caucus dragged on into Tuesday night, continuing to cloud the prospects of a vote Wednesday morning to overhaul supervision of banks. House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D., Mass.) has scheduled a 10:15 a.m. vote on a bill to rework financial regulation. The 10 CBC members of his committee have said they won't vote for it until their concerns on a range of other issues relating to the economy are met by the White House. One problem: it's unclear to many what their concerns are, and CBC...

As the United States moves 8,000 marines from Okinawa to Guam, the air defenses of that American island are being improved. There will now be three different air defense systems. There will be a THAAD battery (24 missiles, three launchers and a fire control communications system). This will include an X-Band radar. The gear for each battery costs $310 million. The 18 foot long THAAD missiles weigh 1,400 pounds. This is about the same size as the Patriot anti-aircraft missile, but twice the weight of the anti-missile version of the Patriot. The range of THAAD is 200 kilometers, max altitude...

LIAR-IN-CHIEF Obama has wasted valuable time on 3 huge hoaxes: (1)Urgent Bailout wasn't used to help the economy. It is being used as a slush fund to promote the Democratic power grab and replace our capitalistic system with socialism. (2)Urgent Obamacare has nothing to do with healthcare because it is a plot to provide more free benefits to the illegals so that when the Democrats give them full amnesty, the Democrats think it will provide a permanent block of votes to keep the Democrats in power forever. (3)Urgent Global Warming Cap & Trade is simply an excuse to economically destroy...

Here is video of Chris Matthews tonight saying he does not think President Obama "made the case" tonight for his strategy in Afghanistan. He said Obama's speech "lacked the lift of a driving dream," and that it "had a ministerial quality" to it. Matthews said he failed to bring to his speech a sense that we are going after a "clear-cut enemy." Matthews argued that Al-Qaeda is our real enemy and they are in Pakistan. So, according to him, fighting the Taliban is an indirect way of getting at Al-Qaeda. Matthews refuses to see that the Taliban and Al-Qaeda are...
