Former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) said Thursday on Newsmax TV’s “The Balance” that a civil war was “going to happen” over former President Donald Trump’s indictments. Eric Bolling asked, “We’ve talked about the two tiered justice system but when you see it happening, when you see the former president being fingerprinted, having to show up turn himself in. You see the mug shots of the other seven or eight who turned themselves in already. Do you have concern for the country as I do?” Palin said, “Yeah absolutely. I mean, I think those who are conducting this travesty and creating...

People need to be 'less squeamish' about drinking water taken from sewage treatment plants, the head of the Environment Agency has said. Water companies are planning "toilet-to-tap" systems, also known as water recycling, to turn sewage from lavatories into drinking water by treating it. By 2030, toilet water could be deposited into rivers near treatment plants so it can be collected and processed as drinking water. Writing in the Sunday Times, Sir James Bevan said the "unpopular" move would help protect the UK's water supply.

March 13, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — As Americans clamor for information about the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus outbreak and what the president’s Democrat opponents would do differently, some are raising red flags over former vice president Joe Biden’s team of advisers on the subject, one of whom has a history of suggesting that the elderly would be better off dead. On Wednesday, the Biden campaign announced the creation of a Public Health Advisory Committee, which will help the candidate “minimize health risks for the candidate, staff and supporters.” The panel includes the University of Pennsylvania’s Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, former...

Food scientists at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia are incorporating insects such as maggots and locusts into a range of specialty foods, including sausage, as well as formulating sustainable insect-based feeds for the livestock themselves. Hoffman says conventional livestock production will soon be unable to meet global demand for meat, so other fillers and alternatives will be needed to supplement the food supply with sufficient protein sources. The Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI) team is focusing on pleasing Western palates by disguising insects in pre-prepared foods, says Hoffman, as studies have shown they shy away...

One solution to income inequality is giving out free cash, according to the British billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson. “A basic income should be introduced in Europe and in America,” Branson told David Gelles of The New York Times. Branson was responding to the question, “What do you think those in positions of power should do to address social problems like income inequality?”

Scientists say they have discovered the next superfood that’s a perfect non-dairy alternative. However, they may have a hard time getting people to try cockroach milk. Using a 2016 report on the benefits of insect dairy, scientists found that the Pacific Beetle cockroach of Hawaii possesses nutrient-filled milk crystals, which they use to feed their young. “A single crystal is estimated to contain more than three times the energy of an equivalent mass of dairy milk,” the report stated... Some companies are already trying to get ahead of the trend by selling the bug juice in everything from milk to...

Discussing cities is like talking about the knots in a net: they’re crucial, but they’re only one part of the larger story of the net and what it’s supposed to do. It makes little sense to talk about knots in isolation when it’s the net that matters. The 100 million city: is 21st century urbanisation out of control? Cities are part of the system we’ve invented to keep people alive on Earth. People tend to like cities, and have been congregating in them ever since the invention of agriculture, 10,000 or so years ago. That’s why we call it civilisation....

Bill Nye: Older people need to 'die' out before climate science can advance Bill Nye specifically targeted the elderly this week as he spoke out against climate change deniers, saying that climate science will start to advance when old people start to "age out," according to a report. The "Science Guy" said that generationally, the majority of climate change deniers are older."Climate change deniers, by way of example, are older. It's generational," Nye told the Los Angeles Times. Nye said that he is calling them out with "due respect," acknowledging that he is "now one of them.""We're just going to have...

Researchers are scaling up successful trial methods of producing safe fertilizer from urine to reduce water pollution and to replace synthetic fertilizer, whose manufacture is energy intensive and expensive. But removing bacteria, residual pharmaceuticals and viruses from urine - which urban legend wrongly maintains is sterile - is the simpler part of the problem. More difficult is persuading people to eat the food.

The milk crystals of the Pacific beetle cockroach are beautiful. Slice open an embryonic roach under a microscope, and the crystals spill out in a shower of nutrient-dense glitter. But the flavor of cockroach milk is nothing to write home about. Subramanian Ramaswamy, a biochemist at the Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine in Bangalore, India, told The Washington Post as much early Tuesday. As a party dare — he’d lost a drinking competition — one of Ramaswamy’s colleagues once ate a sprinkling of the crystals. “He said it doesn’t taste like anything special,” Ramaswamy said. Most roaches...

When this election started in what seems like a lifetime ago, I was contacted by the Bush people. After all, I had been a supporter of Bush 43 and one of his appointees. I expressed my concern that I thought it was bad for the country to have another election between a Clinton and a Bush. The world has changed dramatically since then to say the least. We now are facing a presidential election between a congenital liar and an egomaniacal opportunist. The person who can stop that is Ted Cruz by getting out of the race now. A Ted...

•Prof. Russell Rickford says capitalism and white supremacy are responsible for the police brutality toward brown, black, and poor people. •The professor claims 'dead black bodies in the street is a sacrifice America makes to the gods of white supremacy.' Rep. Maxine Waters: 'The Tea Party Can Go Straight To Hell' August 20, 2011 Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles) came out swinging against Republicans in Congress on Saturday as she addressed the unemployed during a forum in Inglewood. The event occurred a day after new statistics were released showing that California's jobless rate last month went up to 12%, from 11.8%. California now has the second-highest rate of unemployment in the nation, trailing only Nevada at 12.9%, and its jobless rate is well above the U.S. average of 9.1%. Waters vowed to push Congress to focus on creating more jobs....

CALLER: Hi, Rush! RUSH: Hi. CALLER: I just wanted to know if you happened to catch George Felos on Fox & Friends this morning. RUSH: Yes. CALLER: What did you think? RUSH: Well, there's a number of things that we have from Felos. One of the things -- what did you want to ask me about regarding Felos? CALLER: Well, when they got to the last question I thought he looked, like, totally stunned. I think he thought that he did really, really good throughout the whole thing looking real calm.
