Taser International Inc. received its first large order for its new X3 stun gun, with the devices slated to head to Florida. The Lakeland Police Department ordered 150 of the devices, which are capable of stunning three people from the same device compared to the Scottsdale company’s earlier models that are single-shot devices. It represents the largest single order for the devices that debuted last summer, said Steve Tuttle, the company’s vice president of communications. “We’ve had others go out, particular for field studies, but nothing this large,” he said.
