September 11, 2006 -- IF Sean Hannity has his way, talk-radio titan Bob Grant will return from his WABC "exile" soon. Grant, 76, was abruptly fired 10 years ago - right after Disney bought ABC - for making a wisecrack about the death of Commerce Secretary Ron Brown in a plane crash. Now, WABC is awaiting the closing of a Disney deal to sell ABC's radio division to Citadel Broadcasting - which could open the door for Grant's return.

On February 28, at 12 noon, the Tri-State Chapter and all other freepers in good standing (and all those who are willing to obey the usual standards at protests) will join Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry and Vietnamese Americans Against John Kerry to protest against the Democratic front-runner, who has "aided and abetted the communist government in Hanoi," according to Dan Tran,of VAAJK. The protest will take place across the street from the NYC Kerry headquarters at 373 Park Avenue South, between 26th and 27th Streets. A few hours ago, Bob Grant on his WOR Radio show mentioned the name Freerepublic.com in connection with a breaking scandal involving NJ Governor James McGreevey that would SURELY result in his resignation if the facts of the scandal could be proved. He indicated that he read this on Freerepublic, (apparently as a post) but would not divulge any particulars, since he couldn't verify the purported facts himself. I've searched FR for 10 minutes and could find nothing current on McGreevey. Anyone out there hear this, or know anything about it?
