We Can WIN in Wisconsin 2 More Times! With a one vote margin in the Wisconsin Senate and a RINO Republican threatening to change parties, the election on Tuesday to recall two Democrat Senators is crucial. Last week we beat back the recalls of four Republican Senators to keep conservative control of the Senate. Now, we must win at least one of these two seats to keep the RINO from giving liberals control of the Senate. While conservative Governor Scott Walker and Republicans were trying to restore economic health to Wisconsin, the liberal Democrat Senators fled the state to avoid...

Wis. Democrats hope to hold ground in 2 recallsBy The Associated Press • Tuesday, August 16, 2011 Wisconsin Democrats sought Tuesday to hold the ground they gained in last week's recall elections by fending off Republican attempts to oust two senators who fled the state in opposition to Gov. Scott Walker's proposal curbing public employee collective bargaining rights. Democrats needed to win at least three of six recalls last week targeting Republicans, but they only captured two. That means the best they can manage from Tuesday's elections is to keep the ground they gained, which left the Senate in Republican...

GOP holds onto state SenateThe Associated Press Republicans held onto control of the Wisconsin Senate on Tuesday, beating back four Democratic challengers in a recall election despite an intense political backlash against GOP support for Gov. Scott Walker’s effort to curb public employees’ union rights. **SNIP** Turnout was strong in the morning and steady in the afternoon in communities such as Whitefish Bay, Menomonee Falls and Shorewood, where Sen. Alberta Darling was one of the four Republicans to hold onto her seat. After trailing much of the night, it wasn’t until about 2 a.m. that Darling could claim victory for...

A first-hand account of citizen activism at an abandoned gas station that served as headquarters for a petition drive to recall one of the fleebagger senators. It seems like an eternity since all 14 of Wisconsin’s Democratic senators abandoned their duty in a mad dash across the border into Illinois. The antics of the runaway senators were little more than a silly diversion from the angry protests that had descended upon the capitol during the first few days of their self-imposed exile. As the days slowly passed, the initial bemusement over the “fleebaggers” gave way to a feeling of resentment...

With the Wisconsin Senate and the democratic process being held hostage by 14 Democrat union puppets on the run in the People’s Republic of Illinois, the hard working-tax payers of the Dairy State have begun the recall process. Local patriots have risen to the challenge posed by the irrational and unethical conduct of the Senate Democrats and have volunteered their time and effort in a truly grassroots expression of their abiding faith in representative government. This past weekend, peaceful recall petition events came under assault from union agitators eager to flex their muscle and derail the free and democratic process....

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) _ State Sen. Robert Wirch is asking Governor-elect Jim Doyle to sell the governor's mansion as a way to address the state's projected $2.6 billion budget deficit. Wirch said selling the $1.3 million mansion would be more of a symbolic gesture than a way to save a significant amount of money. ``Considering the budget deficit and talk about borrowing money against the pension fund, we need to cut all extravagances, and the governor's mansion is more an extravagance than a necessity,'' said Wirch, D-Pleasant Prairie. Doyle spokesman Thad Nation said he would not comment until he had...
