  • Unable to drag-and-drop .jpg images from Windows Explorer

I am using Windows XP Home and PowerPoint 2000. When I try to drag a .jpg file from Windows Explorer onto a PowerPoint slide, all I get is a text object that lists the location and name of the file, not the image associated with the file itself. What's going on, and how can I actually get the image into PowerPoint via drag and drop? I know I can do an "insert/picture/from file" but I'd rather drag and drop. Thanks.
