Hundreds of residents in southwestern Russia’s Ural region staged a rare protest Monday, demanding compensation for the flooding of their homes after a dam gave way because of rising floodwaters. The protest took place in the city of Orsk, located in the Orenburg region near the border with Kazakhstan. Chanting “Putin help us” and “shame,” the locals affected by the floods defied Russian laws that prohibit demonstrations without the permission of authorities. They gathered in front of the city’s administrative building Monday, demanding emergency assistance as the floods swallowed more than 10,000 homes. Denis Pasler, governor of the Orenburg region...

Organizers of an effort to oust Wisconsin Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos announced on March 10 that their petition had collected enough signatures to trigger a recall election. Mr. Vos’s response to certain election integrity efforts in the wake of the 2020 election drew the ire of supporters of former President Donald Trump who maintain that the election was stolen. Campaign organizer Matt Snorek of Racine County now says the petition has collected more than the necessary 6,850 signatures from voters in Mr. Vos’s southeast Wisconsin district. “With more than 10,000 signatures on our recall petition, they’ve said it loud...

ROCHESTER — Former President Donald Trump has re-upped his endorsement of conservative write-in state legislative candidate Adam Steen in the final week before Election Day. In a new prerecorded robocall, Trump again attacks incumbent Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, calling Vos “a horrendous RINO,” shorthand for Republican In Name Only. The former president tells voters to write-in Steen and calls Vos “an absolute disaster … Vos has really let you down on voter integrity and just about everything else.”

The Wisconsin Assembly Republican leader who hired a former state Supreme Court justice to investigate the 2020 election fired him Friday, after the former justice and former President Donald Trump backed the lawmaker’s opponent. Speaker Robin Vos firing of Michael Gableman ends a 14-month probe that began with Vos voicing full confidence in Gableman’s abilities. Vos, in a statement first provided to The Associated Press on Friday, said Gableman’s reports “clearly showed concerns and problems with the 2020 election.”

Speaker Robin Vos introduced this week he'll pause the 2020 election investigation by former Wisconsin supreme Courtroom Justice Michael Gableman. Vos stated he'll wait till some lawsuits had been determined, which is a one other flimsy excuse for the RINO Home Speaker. The Washington examiner reported: Former Wisconsin Supreme Courtroom Justice Michael Gableman's inquiry into the 2020 presidential election has reportedly been halted amid a number of lawsuits over his investigation. Whereas his investigation into the election is paused, Gableman's, $11,000 month-to-month wage will probably be halved to $5,500, and he'll obtain a $2,500 month-to-month stipend to pay for hire,...

A circuit judge on Thursday found the Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, a Republican, in contempt of court for refusing to turn over documents relating to the state's recount of the 2020 presidential election. "Robin Vos had delegated the search for contractors' records to an employee who did nothing more than send one vague email to one contractor," wrote Dane County Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn. "Putting aside for the moment the impropriety of making a contractor responsible for a records request … Robin Vos did not tell [sic] that contractor which records to produce, did not ask any of the other...

Earlier today, President Trump released a statement putting Wisconsin House Speaker Robin Vos — a true RINO — on the spot for claiming that the legislature cannot decertify Wisconsin’s stolen 2020 Presidential Election. The Gateway Pundit reported that Vos admitted widespread voter fraud occurred in Wisconsin after attending a closed-door meeting with a group of concerned WI residents advocating for decertification. Vos then wrongly claimed that the legislature does not have the power to decertify the stolen election. President Trump put Robin Vos on notice for the massive election fraud that former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman exposed in...

A recent claim involved the Dutch-American journalist Michiel Vos, who is married to Alexandra Pelosi, a documentary filmmaker and daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. On social media, users shared what appeared to be a photograph of Vos standing next to Angeli. One tweet read: “What do we have here? Viking guy [Angeli] photographed this morning with Voss [sic], married to Pelosi’s daughter Alexandria [sic].” On Facebook, one user wrote: “HEY AMERICA!! I wonder why Michiel VOS, Nancy Pelosi’s son in law was in front of the Capital Building taking SELFIES with ‘VIKING MAN’ fake Trump supporter Since they have...

MADISON — They picked up their ball and went home. Assembly Democrats, fed up with what they saw as the futility of fighting a “disastrous” Republican-crafted state budget proposal, on Wednesday declined to offer amendments or to even debate the $68 billion, two-year spending plan. Instead, the minority party effectively gave the majority the silent treatment. Republicans quickly brushed off the political statement, and used their numbers to pass a budget they praised for lifting a big burden off of Wisconsin taxpayers. Minority Leader Peter Barca, D-Kenosha, had plenty to say at a press conference following the budget’s passage on...

Madison - A second state lawmaker is pulling his name from an effort to intervene in a lawsuit over the state's photo ID law. Rep. Robin Vos (R-Rochester), the influential co-chairman of the Legislature's budget committee, said he was withdrawing his name from a motion filed in the case after questions were raised about whether he was violating state ethics law by accepting legal help in making the filing. Rep. Bob Ziegelbauer (I-Manitowoc), who also had signed on to the motion, withdrew from it earlier this week. Vos acknowledged a finding by state officials that receiving legal help on the...

MADISON — Ah, Wisconsin, a state known for its beer, brats, cheese, Packers, recalls. Emphasis on recalls. Wisconsin voters last summer took part in an unprecedented nine Senate recalls, and the subsequent results narrowed the GOP majority from five votes to one, 17-16. Different year, similar story. The process is a point of frustration for lawmakers, and it's costing taxpayers. State Rep. Robin Vos, R – Rochester, on Wednesday reiterated the need for recall reform. Vos introduced in the latest session a resolution seeking a constitutional amendment to change the threshold for recall in Wisconsin. An elected officer, says the...

Madison - State election officials say they likely will need extra time to review recall signatures even though Gov. Scott Walker has said he will not challenge the petitions against him - a move that would give Walker more time to raise unlimited sums of money. Meanwhile, Republican legislators groused Wednesday that the Government Accountability Board was not doing a thorough enough analysis of the signatures even as it was asking them for $975,000 to do its work. "It just seems like they are doing the bare minimum but not enough to instill confidence in the system," said Rep. Robin...

The marquee job-creation bill of the Republican-controlled Legislature appeared all but dead Wednesday when a key holdout refused to support mining legislation that held out the possibility of work for thousands but could roll back environmental protections. Republicans who control the statehouse had banked on the mining bill as their signature employment bill this year, but with two weeks remaining in the session, their efforts have faltered amid opposition from Sen. Dale Schultz (R-Richland Center) and others. Schultz said Wednesday he met with Rep. Robin Vos (R-Rochester) and top officials with the state Department of Natural Resources in a closed-door...
