I'm a dad, was a single dad for 15 years to a son. Any dad, any single dad, has a sense about certain males in their son's orbit. Coaches, teachers, Scout Leaders, neighbors, his friend's dads. Anyone else get this vibe I'm picking up?

Colin Kroll’s body was discovered after his girlfriend called cops because she’d been unable to get a hold of him, according to sources. The unnamed gal pal and cops went to his SoHo apartment on Spring Street, where his body was discovered in the bedroom just after midnight. Marijuana and heroin were found nearby, and he was declared dead at the scene, the source said. Cops said an envelope containing white powder was also recovered. HQ Trivia marketing director Andrew Watts tweeted Sunday: “What the f–k. I’m heartbroken. What.”

If You Ever Leave Me, I’m Going With You! A Homily for the 5th Sunday of Easter By: Msgr. Charles PopeIn this Easter Season, we continue to reflect on how the risen Lord Jesus ministers to us and supplies our needs. Last week we considered him as our shepherd. This week we learn how He is the vine and we the branches on the vine, wholly dependent on Him for everything. As we consider how he cares for us as his disciples, we need to rescue the word “care” from its rather sentimental modern sense. True care does not...

This week we learn how He is the vine and we the branches on the vine, wholly dependent on Him for everything. As we consider how he cares for us as his disciples, we need to rescue the word “care” from its rather sentimental modern sense. True care does not merely include more pleasant things such as giving food and shelter and other basic needs. Sometimes care involves difficult things necessary...

My gatekeepers are doorstops holding the floodgates of my love open for my children of virtue in that as they enter into the Father's garden it is the will of his heart they seed and spread through the trust and the fruit of salvation found in the earthened tree of righteousness namely My Son for I am revealing my heart of loving kindness by " The Vine " and as I continue to press my vineyard of grapes from those I pick you shall see the expression of my love in Grace for he is the wineskin and blood of...

Newsvine.com, a new type of news site created by four former Disney/ABCNEWs.com employees, is now up and running in beta. CyberJournalist.net has been invited to join the beta and is impressed with what it's seen so far. The site is a slick combination of some of the trendiest news-related tools online now, incorporating news aggregation, social networking, citizen journalism, blogging, user ratings and online discussions. Think of it as one-part Slashdot, one-part del.icio.us and one-part Google News, with a few other neat features thrown in. The site is built around four general actions: reading, discussing, writing and seeding the news....
