Hard times are coming for vaccine fanatics and fear-mongering lockdown enthusiasts, or at least that’s what we can reasonably expect after reading the news coming out of South Africa and the U.K. about the Omicron variant. As a matter of fact, the data out of South Africa after five weeks of Omicron spread and out of the U.K. in the first full week after Omicron hit the country suggest that the new Covid-19 variant should be a cause for celebration and relief, not fear and alarm—yet that’s not the direction in which the American media and many politicians are heading....

Compare the takes on omicron from two different financial news sources.First, CNBC's Morning Squawk daily email, December 23, 2021:'Hospitals across the nation are preparing for another wave of Covid that could rival the early days of the pandemic as the highly mutated and contagious omicron variant rages. In fact, the director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation told USA Today that new modeling shows the U.S. could see about 140 million new cases from January to March.Peak new daily infections are projected to reach about 2.8 million late next month, according to the IHME, with less than 15%...

Dec. 20 , 2021 -- The Omicron coronavirus variant has been found in dozens of states across the country since it was first identified in South Africa in November, and many may be wondering: Will it upstage Delta and cause a winter surge? Is it still safe to gather with others for the holidays? How is this variant affecting children?Experts addressed those and other questions in a webinar hosted by New York University last week, acknowledging that it will take some time to find out all the crucial facts about Omicron. But in the meantime, here's what's known -- and not...

With the mainstream media scrambling to keep the fear factor over the Omicron factor pegged to the Max, with much of Europe in the process of locking down amid the 5th covid wave despite cases now clearly declining across most countries...... while in the US the Biden administration - too scared for now to impose a new round of draconian lockdowns - set to deploy 1,000 military troops to back up hospitals if they face a wave of omicron patients in January and February, Deutsche Bank's Shreyas Gopal finds some actually good news.Noting that Omicron has spread like wildfire in...

Omicron has raced ahead of other variants and is now the dominant version of the coronavirus in the U.S., accounting for 73% of new infections last week, federal health officials said Monday. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention numbers showed nearly a six-fold increase in omicron’s share of infections in only one week. In much of the country, omicron’s prevalence is even higher. It’s responsible for an estimated 90% of new infections in the New York area, the Southeast, the industrial Midwest and the Pacific Northwest. The national rate suggests that more than 650,000 omicron infections occurred in the...

Dr. Angelique Coetzee, one of the first doctors in South Africa to treat patients with the Omicron variant of COVID-19, told CNN on Monday they have seen a decrease in COVID cases in the region where the Omicron variant was first detected. Coetzee further explained while they did see a rise in COVID-19 cases with the Omicron variant they did not see a corresponding rise in hospitalizations or deaths. "What we currently see is our cases, we are over the curve. It is sort of coming down...The epicenter, the number is much lower...In total, if you look at our numbers,...

President Joe Biden will deliver a speech on Tuesday to announce new Covid measures to fight the rapidly-spreading Omicron variant. It’s anticipated that he will go beyond his already revealed ‘Winter Plan’ and address booster shots, lockdowns and mask mandates. Earlier this month Biden announced a Covid plan to battle the virus throughout the colder months, which included booster shots for all adults, vaccinations for kids in efforts to keep schools open and expanding free at-home Covid testing. As of Saturday morning the number of confirmed Omicron cases in the US has nearly doubled in a period of 24 hours,...

I believe that the motive of this new fabricated variant of the c0r0navirus is to move quickly to pass legislation that will lead up to force...

Harvard University will go remote again in January due to the spread of the Omicron variant. “Please know that we do not take this step lightly,” university president Lawrence Bacow wrote in a memo to students and staff sent Saturday and obtained by The Post. “Public health experts anticipate the increase in COVID-19 cases to continue, driven by the Omicron variant, which we have now confirmed is already present in our campus community.”

Is Omicron really a “new strain,” or is there more than meets the eye to this latest COVID narrative? Say I’m a scientist who has just discovered a previously undetected matter in the universe. Let’s call it Purple Matter. The world never bothered to test specifically for Purple Matter until now, because they had no idea Purple Matter existed. Somehow, my Purple Matter testing protocol finds Purple Matter EVERYWHERE. Does that mean my newly discovered Purple Matter only surfaced when I started testing for it? Of course not. If my Purple Matter test launched just last month, I would be...

In a sane world, where facts and science held sway, it would all be over soon. The largely harmless omicron variant is absolutely unstoppable meaning that the more lethal delta variant has precious little time left to be a threat to anyone. The former, which I call the Variant of Freedom, disperses so rapidly that it makes delta look frozen in time. To the informed and educated mind, this is a glorious thing, indeed. But those blinded by fear and ignorance cannot see the marvelous miracle unfolding before our very eyes. The press has been loaded with doom-and-gloom stories about the omicron...

I spent the past week in a more urban area and was shocked. I come from a semi-rural, conservative area, and as Rick Moran wrote Tuesday, COVID-19 hype scarcely exists. But in liberal land, masks, panic, and unnecessary mandates abound. This is the majority of America. https://t.co/wqYUs99Tzn— Pradheep J. Shanker (@Neoavatara) December 14, 2021 Speaking of neurotic goons, the New York Times claimed Tuesday that “Omicron is a Dress Rehearsal for the Next Pandemic.”The next pandemic? The Gray Lady neglects to mention that the best and most important news on omicron is that it’s killed almost no one.At the worst, there are...

A lower level of antibodies against the Omicron virus variant is triggered by COVID-19 vaccines, researchers said in a new study.Using blood samples from people who received two doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine or the Pfizer-BioNTech jab, researchers with the University of Oxford found “a substantial fall” in neutralizing antibodies, with evidence of some people failing to have any.“This will likely lead to increased breakthrough infections in previously infected or double vaccinated individuals, which could drive a further wave of infection,” the authors wrote in the preprint study.Omicron is a variant of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, also known...

Everything that’s old is new again, and that’s certainly an adage playing out in regards to the Omicron variant of COVID-19. Ineffective mitigation that didn’t work for the first time? It’s all happening again because most world leaders are a mix of imbecile and power-hungry.Now, the first death connected to Omicron has been confirmed in the United Kingdom. That led PM Boris Johnson to suggest that we should “set aside” any notion that this new variant is less virulent…even though it’s almost certainly less virulent based on what we’ve seen.'At least one patient has been confirmed to have died with...

A few weeks ago, we celebrated Thanksgiving, with gratitude for our many blessings, although these are becoming scarcer over the past two years. At the same time, we received news of a new COVID variant. It seems the world is on some type of Chinese gift registry where we receive quarterly presents, starting with the original Chinese coronavirus, followed every few months by a new variant and subsequent lockdowns, restrictions, and mandates. This coronavirus is acting more like a herpes virus, the one that gives us cold sores that seem to come and go on their own cycle. But these COVID...

A few days ago, researchers in South Africa shared data from a preliminary study showing that the Pfizer vaccine is less effective at blocking the omicron variant than earlier variants like beta and delta. Now, the team is telling us exactly how much less effective the vaccine is.According to the same data gleaned from the blood plasma taken from 12 patients who tested positive for omicron, the team found that a two-shot course of Pfizer's vaccine has just 22.5% efficacy against symptomatic infection with the omicron variant, though it can thwart severe disease, according to laboratory experiments in South Africa,...
