Many science-fiction television series and films—for instance, the Keanu Reeves-starrer "The Matrix" series—have depicted how certain knowledge and skills can be uploaded to the human brain, much like how information can be stored into computers. Thanks to science, this feat is slowly turning into reality. Researchers from the HRL Laboratories in California have successfully fed data directly into the brain of human test subjects, enabling them to somewhat learn a very complex skill: flying a plane.

I am using the Digital Text Publishing tool of amazon.com. I would like to upload, as a test, a short Word document that has a single image, along with text. I save the Word document as filtered html, and see that both image and text appear in the result. I then upload it, using DTP. However, when I preview, I find only the text. The image is missing. What is going on, and how can I upload the image? Thanks.

I have a photo that I would like to post. If I understand it correctly, I need to upload the photo somewhere so it can be retrieved by FR. My question is where do people upload photos to? Hopefully, I'm on the right path.

I am sure this has been asked a thousand times, and a thousand pardons for asking... Is there a free site where can I upload pictures for public linking, say to imbed in freep posts? I can upload to fotki, but that site doesn't allow public linking - what site do freepers use? Sorry about the stupid question, I tried to find a site for this, but I guess it's been a long day. Tom
