One of MLB’s most infamous umpires, Ángel Hernández, is planning on retiring on Tuesday, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed.USA Today first reported the news late Monday night. Major League Baseball and Hernández were negotiating a financial settlement over the past two weeks and came to an agreement during the holiday weekend, according to the report. Hernández, a Cuban-American, is viewed by far as the league’s most controversial umpire for his propensity to miss calls and had previously sued for racial discrimination back in 2017, claiming that he had been passed over for World Series assignments and a crew chief position...

A softball umpire was punched in the face by a woman wearing a 'Mother of the Year' shirt who waited to pounce after being thrown out of her child's game in Mississippi for spewing profanities.
