Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, tells Newsmax he's "considering" another run for the White House in 2024, but he'd be happy seeking another term representing Texas in the U.S. Senate as well. Appearing Thursday on "The Chris Salcedo Show," Cruz told guest host Tom Basile he was "just considering it, just thinking about it," when asked about his 2024 plans. Former President Donald Trump has yet to announce whether he will seek reelection after his 2020 loss to Democrat Joe Biden. A move by Trump to reclaim the Oval Office would certainly make the still popular former commander-in-chief the strong front-runner...

I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October. I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement. His opponent is a disaster for Texas - weak on Second Amendment, Crime, Borders, Military, and Vets!

Donald Trump is scheduled to host Ted and Heidi Cruz at the White House on Wednesday. The president and the former presidential candidate will reportedly have dinner together Wednesday night. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the purpose of Trump and Cruz’s meeting.

One of the country’s most influential conservative magazines has endorsed Ted Cruz for president, after its top editors said that they believe the Texas senator is the only Republican candidate left in the race who can defeat Donald Trump. “Ted’s the only one with a plausible path to stopping Trump,” National Review editor Rich Lowry told Politico, “either by getting a majority himself or denying Trump a majority and finishing close behind and getting it to the convention.”

So first I thought this endorsement was a big boom (for Ted). Then I was convinced there was nothing bigger than this un-endorsement. Then Kasich got this amazing counter endorsement. But those were all just the warmup. THIS .. THIS is the one. If he had to choose between Cruz and Trump for the Republican nomination, Carter chuckled, “I think I would choose Trump, which may surprise some of you.â€(It did, judging by the loud laughter from the audience.)“The reason is, Trump has proven already he's completely malleable,†Carter explained. “I don't think he has any fixed (positions) he’d...

Accusing Senator Ted Cruz of voter fraud, Donald Trump today argued that Mr. Cruz "stole" the election in Iowa. "That is why all of the polls were so wrong, and why he got far more votes than anticipated," Mr. Trump said on Twitter, suggesting no one predicted that Mr. Cruz would win: Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong and why he got far more votes than anticipated. Bad!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 3, 2016 Mr. Trump then went further, saying Mr. Cruz committed fraud, suggesting that Cruz's...

It is clear that we are almost evenly divided between Trump and Cruz (tip of the hat to DoughtyOne for the Caucus threads). It is also clear that in about 1-3 months, one will almost surely be the chosen candidate, and one will not. It is also clear that Freerepublic will still be here with both factions still being active (and hopefully not just for the "I told you so" moment that may come). With that in mind, I'd like to make an effort at seeing if there is any way to bridge the gap between the two factions here....

This almost seems TOO good to be true! Reports are circling, and they are saying that the Republican National Committee is to consider a resolution drafted for the impeachment of President Barack Obama, AND it’s to include 48 criminal charges!?! The resolution, which seems to have been drafted by the North American Law Center, is to be weighed up at a January 13th meeting of the RNC, reports Brandon Hall of West Michigan Politics blog. The document is titled, "Articles of Impeachment of Barack Hussein Obama,"it begins, "Resolved, That Barack Hussein Obama, acting President of the United States, is impeached...

Whether you happen to like Donald J. Trump or not, the fact is, he represents the will of the vast majority of American people. Not since Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy has there been a candidate who represents the ideas and ideals of US citizens who believe in traditional American values, Patriotism, and a government ruled by the constitution as Donald Trump. If Trump stays in it, he is going to be the next President of the United States, and it clearly shows in the socialist establishment in Washington, as they have gone beyond panic mode into what amounts...

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has finally unleashed a verbal assault on the one rival he has so far spared.

Trump went after Ted Cruz at a town hall event in Iowa Friday evening, accusing the Texas senator of being beholden to big oil companies because he opposes ethanol subsidies, which are deeply popular in this agricultural state.

Yesterday we reported that Donald Trump and Ted Cruz seemed to be preparing to go to war with each other. A few hours later, however, Cruz himself responded on Twitter by saying that, although the media would love to see a cage match between himself and the billionaire businessman, he won't play along. That could -- and by all means should -- have been the end of it. Sadly it is not. Trump can also read polls and understands that Cruz poses a serious threat to him in Iowa. And so the cage match has started, whether Cruz likes it...

Senator Ted Cruz raised questions on Wednesday at a private fund-raiser about whether Donald J. Trump, his bombastic rival for the Republican presidential nomination, has the "judgment" to be president and mused about "strength," according to two people who attended the event in Manhattan The remarks from Mr. Cruz came as he has studiously avoided public criticism of Mr. Trump, who is handily beating the rest of the Republican field in opinion polls. Mr. Cruz has positioned himself to be the beneficiary of any erosion of support for Mr. Trump. While he has said he doesn't agree with Mr. Trump's...

One day after a report that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) questioned Donald Trump's "judgement" in a private event, Trump called out Cruz for criticizing him behind close doors but refraining from negative comments in public. Looks like @tedcruz is getting ready to attack. I am leading by so much he must. I hope so, he will fall like all others. Will be easy! .@tedcruz should not make statements behind closed doors to his bosses, he should bring them out into the open - more fun that way! Cruz has so far refrained from bashing Trump in public. After Trump announced...

A group of tea party activists is convinced that Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has struck a secret deal with rival Sen. Ted Cruz to guarantee the Texan the vice presidential spot on the ticket, and conservatives are raving that it would be the best pairing since Harry Burnett Reese combined peanut butter and Hershey’s chocolate. The Cruz campaign vehemently denied that there was an agreement to form the conservatives’ “dream ticket,†while the Trump campaign remained mum.“There is no such secret deal,†said Cruz campaign national spokesman Rick Tyler.Still, speculation about an arranged marriage of Mr. Trump’s self-styled conservative crusade...

Donald Trump says that if Ted Cruz 97% “catches on, then I guess we will have to go to war.†Appearing on CNBC’s “Squawk Box†on Monday, Trump told Joe Kernen that Cruz has “been very nice and supportive of everything I’ve said, more than anybody else.†However, “we’ll see what happens. If he catches on, then I guess we will have to go to war. But so far we haven’t,†suggested Trump. “We’ve been very supportive we have a lot of same ideas. And you know, I’m very strong on border security and building a wall,†claimed Trump. “We...
