A biological male in Washington state beat out the female competition this weekend to capture the Girls 400 Dash 2A state title. East Valley High School runner Veronica Garcia, a biological male who identifies and competes as a female, won the championship at the Washington State Track & Field Meet. Garcia finished the Girls 400 Dash Prelim with a time of 55.59 seconds, roughly three seconds faster than the biological female who finished in second place, according to race results.
