  • Iowa voters say it is too early to write off DeSantis despite headlines about resets and dwindling cash: Only a third say his campaign is going badly in new poll, offering Florida governor a chance to fight back

Last week brought yet another campaign reset for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as a DailyMail.com poll found his support in the crucial early state of Iowa had crashed by nine percent. But stop to ask the actual men and women who will take part in the first contest to choose the Republican nominee next year and they will tell you to ignore the headlines and that there is a long, long way to go. 'I think that Trump is in the lead now, but Trump's gonna say something dumb and make a mistake, and people are gonna turn to Ron,'...

  • BREAKING: We Have The Votes

With the Senate Judiciary Committee holding a vote at 9:30 A.M. tomorrow, a Senate insider has told Townhall that Kavanaugh has the votes to make it out of committee and the votes to be confirmed on the floor for a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court. Sens. Flake (R-AZ), Collins (R-ME), Murkowski (R-AK), and Manchin (D-WV) are expected to vote in favor of Kavanaugh. All the Republicans are voting yes. Also, in the rumor mill, several Democrats may break ranks and back Kavanaugh. That’s the ball game, folks. It was an intense and hellacious day at the Senate Judiciary Committee....

Now that Halloween is over, I have a question. I saw last year that there were some radio stations around the country that...believe it or not...went all-Christmas music on November 1st. WAY too early, in my book Now, even though I don't condone this, it peaked my interest. Has anyone noticed that a station in their area has gone all-Christmas already?
  • Santorum leads close 3 way race in NC (Santomentum in NC)

Rick Santorum's taken the lead in the Republican Presidential race in North Carolina with 31% to 25% for Mitt Romney and 23% for Newt Gingrich. A month ago Gingrich and Romney were tied for the lead with Santorum running 10 points behind. Romney's staying competitive in North Carolina despite the fact that GOP voters there are pretty tepid toward him. Only 43% have a favorable opinion and an equal 43% see him negatively. That makes him less popular than both Gingrich (45/41) and Santorum (58/29). Romney's really benefiting from Gingrich continuing to be strong enough in the South that he...

President Bush's senior advisers describe the Democratic field as unusually weak heading in to the coming election year, Monday's NEW YORK TIMES is planning to report in a Page One splash. "Each of them has relative strengths and weaknesses, but happily for us, in each case the relative weaknesses outweigh the relative strengths," Ed Gillespie, chairman of the Republican National Committee, tells the TIMES. "They're all Howard Dean now. They have adopted harsh, bitter, personal attacks as their approach. They are a party of protest and pessimism and offer no positive agenda of their own." Team Bush has delayed the...
