President Donald Trump enjoys significantly more support from his Republican base than President Biden sees from Democrats, an I&I/TIPP Polls survey released this week found. The survey asked both Democrats and Republicans who they would vote for if their respective presidential primary were held today. Biden failed to garner a majority of support, as roughly one-third of Democrats — 34 percent — said they would choose him. Former first lady Michelle Obama came in second with 11 percent support, followed by Vice President Kamala Harris (10 percent), Sen. Bernie Sanders (7 percent), Hillary Clinton (5 percent), and Pete Buttigieg and...

The IBD/TIPP Economic Optimism Index, a leading national poll on consumer confidence, revealed dramatic increases in positive sentiment this month, rising from 45.0 to 55.2 (22.7%) overall. This brings the index back into positive territory for the first time in seven months. For the IBD/TIPP indexes, a reading below 50.0 indicates pessimism. “We’ve seen some interesting swings in consumer sentiment throughout the pandemic, but October revealed the biggest gains by far,” said Ed Carson, IBD's news editor. The IBD/TIPP Economic Optimism Index has established a strong track record of foreshadowing the confidence indicators issued later each month by the University...

Joe Biden's lead over President Donald Trump has narrowed to 2.6 points among likely voters, a new IBD/TIPP 2020 election poll finds. Trump's rise comes despite registered voters seeing Biden as the winner of Tuesday's debate and coming across as more likable by double-digit margins.

(Angry Patriot) – During her tenure at Fox News, Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly were constantly at each other’s throats — often over her selfish attitude and need to make everything about her. So, it makes perfect sense that O’Reilly revealed that her nickname was “Me-Again” Kelly, via Washington Feed. According to O’Reilly, it was “always about Megyn,” which is not hard to believe. All of the drama surrounding Kelly is coming out in the open after she tore up her contract with Fox News, with some months still remaining on it. Kelly was on a break from Fox News...

Day 17: Oct. 25, 2012 Obama: +2.0 Obama 46.7% | Romney 44.7% Obama’s lead over Romney shrank to 2 points. Romney’s gains appear to be mostly among women, who supported Obama a bit less, and Romney a bit more, closing the gap for Romney among all women to 10 points from 12 points a day earlier. Among white women only, Romney maintains a comfortable 5-point lead. Romney’s support among self-described conservatives has also ramped up in recent days, rising from 71% two days ago to 74% currently. He has also basically closed the enthusiasm gap with Obama, with those who...

Obama maintained a lead over Romney in our poll for a sixth straight day. Though Romney actually improved his lead among male voters to 7 points from 4 a day earlier, Obama’s lead among women is now 12 points, the biggest ever. Obama continues to beat Romney among both urban and suburban dwellers, holding 34-point and 6-point advantages with those two voting groups, respectively. Romney has maintained his solid lead among independents, standing 9 points ahead. But the GOP challenger remains well behind with those voters who call themselves “moderates”, with a 27-point deficit in that group.

A razor-thin margin separated Obama and Romney in the latest poll. Obama's 46.9% is statistically no different than Romney's 46.6%, given the 3.5-percentage point margin of error. Latest data show Romney improving among women, with Obama's edge among that large voting bloc falling from 10-percentage points in our Sunday poll to just 4-percentage points on Monday. Likewise, Obama's huge 81 point advantage among Blacks and Hispanics shrank back to 72 points on Monday. Independents remain solidly in Romney's camp, giving him an 8-point lead, virtually unchanged in recent days. For the first time since the tracking poll began a week...

A tracking poll published Thursday by TIPP for Investors' Business Daily shows the hard-to-believe statistic of 44% support for Mitt Romney among likely Jewish voters, versus 40% for Obama, with 16% undecided. The statistic is qualified with the comment that it is based on a small sample and should therefore be viewed with caution. The poll was conducted among 812 likely voters, with an 8% advantage for registered Democrats over Republicans. If the numbers are in any way close to representing reality, they reflect an unprecedented shift in Jewish voting preferences. Jews have voted overwhelmingly for Democratic presidential candidates for...

A shift of male votes into Obama's column has helped give the Democrat his best lead in seven days. Men had been holding at 48%-41% McCain, but on Tuesday switched to 46%-45% Obama. This may reflect some temporary volatility, however. Another key group, Catholics, who've been swinging in a tight range, are back in the Obama camp.

After seesawing between 3.2 and 3.9 points over the weekend, Obama's lead slipped to 2.8 Monday. Battleground also has Obama up 3, and other polls have tightened, including Rasmussen, Zogby and Gallup to 5. Some polls show swings in independents, but IBD/TIPP has them in a stable, 5-point range.

For one day at least, President Bush was more popular than he's been all year. The president's lagging poll numbers got a swift boost from Thursday's news that U.S. warplanes had killed Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the most wanted-terrorist in Iraq. Polling done on Thursday for the IBD/TIPP Presidential Leadership Index gave Bush a 44.2 rating, up from 39.1 in the prior days of June and 38.9 in May. The last time the Index reached this level was in December, when it hit 44.3. Readings below 50 are negative. The complete June index will be released on Tuesday. Raghavan Mayur, president...

Pretty consistent with other polls. 3-5 points seems to be status quo. I think we will see state polls reflecting the same this week.
