IBD/Tipp | 10/25 | IBD/Tipp

Posted on 10/25/2012 11:02:24 AM PDT by tatown

Day 17: Oct. 25, 2012

Obama: +2.0 Obama 46.7% | Romney 44.7%

Obama’s lead over Romney shrank to 2 points.

Romney’s gains appear to be mostly among women, who supported Obama a bit less, and Romney a bit more, closing the gap for Romney among all women to 10 points from 12 points a day earlier.

Among white women only, Romney maintains a comfortable 5-point lead.

Romney’s support among self-described conservatives has also ramped up in recent days, rising from 71% two days ago to 74% currently.

He has also basically closed the enthusiasm gap with Obama, with those who say they’re “strongly” in support of Romney at 74%, and those who say they strongly support Obama at 75% - a statistical tie.

Header should read 47-45, not 47-44. Not to be nitpicky, but some folks may only see the header.

Thanks, I sent the Admin Moderator a title change request. I really screwed this one up..LOL.

Glad I didn’t have the same ‘issue’ when I voted on Tuesday. That would have been more difficult to screw up as it only required me to select the bit “R” button for every race! ;0)

You need to fix the headline - it is O47-R45, not O47-R44...

This is helping his RCP average a bit today

I hope the WashPost/ABC poll has the Governor up 3 points today

If RCP had not included that idiotic Zogby poll their average would now be R+1.1.

Romney leads Independents by 10%. Not only that but the LV percentage of RV is 87%. History says voting percentage is in the 60’s. The internals are very poor for Obama.
