In her first formal sit-down interview with Fox News, Vice President Harris tangled repeatedly with anchor Bret Baier as he pressed her on immigration policy and positions she took in 2019 when she was running for president that she no longer holds. About half-way through the intense 30-minute interview, Baier asked Harris a question she didn’t answer very well in more friendly interviews last week on The View and on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert: What would she do differently from President Biden? This time, she was prepared.

President Biden appeared to get defensive when asked during a Thursday interview if his energy policies were to blame for inflation. "We’re in a stronger position than any nation in the world to overcome this inflation," Biden said, pointing to 3.6% unemployment rate and America’s relatively strong standing in the world. Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy pressed White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre later Thursday to explain Biden’s inflation comments, noting that the U.S. has higher inflation than Germany, France, Japan, Canada, India, Italy, and Saudi Arabia.

Every year, my family and I face the same dilemma.  The last time either of us participated in Halloween has to be at least 10 years ago.  We have made a decision to abstain from Halloween celebrations, including all the TV specials, candy, and trick-or-treat associated with it.  I’m not against dressing up in costumes, or candy, or fun.  I and my wife simply oppose the values that go along with Halloween—the celebration of darkness, horror, fear, and mayhem. The meeting in Beantown was listed as the Democratic party convention. However, the number of media and gunslingers far exceeded the amount of convention delegates attending. The gunslingers could be pacified with a doughnut or two a day. Not so with the scribbling set.
