Leaked funding documents reveal an effort by George Soros and his foundations to manipulate election laws and process rules ahead of the federal election far more expansively than has been previously reported. The billionaire and convicted felon moved hundreds of millions of dollars into often-secret efforts to change election laws, fuel litigation to attack election integrity measures, push public narratives about voter fraud, and to integrate the political ground game of the left with efforts to scare racial minority groups about voting rights threats. These Soros-funded efforts moved through dozens of 501(c)(3) and (c)(4) charities and involved the active compliance with civil rights groups, government...

... Ted Cruz: He was a bit prickly at the start (and then had his attempt at a joke interrupted in an inopportune way by the crowd and Chris Wallace) but gave a series of very strong answers as the debate progressed, had a good closing, and had a good night. He gave compelling answers on ethanol, why he's not a favorite of Washington politicians, and--especially--immigration. As the polling leader among those who weren't AWOL, he was under fire--both from the other candidates and the moderators-more than anyone else on the stage, but that cut both ways: He was front...

Leadership: The president makes an odious comparison between the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street, unable to tell the difference between those who work to change the system and those who would destroy it. If you ask President Obama, the angry mobs (to coin a phrase) of Occupy Wall Street (OWS), members of which when not relieving themselves on the hoods of New York taxis offer no coherent explanation of their purpose and agenda, are merely the Tea Party of the left. On Tuesday, he told ABC's Jake Tapper he understood "the frustrations being expressed in those protests" on Wall...

On Wednesday’s The Ed Show, MSNBC analyst and Bloomberg View columnist Jonathan Alter claimed that the "massive tax cuts" of the Bush administration did not create jobs, and went on to credit former President Clinton for the low unemployment rate existed for a time during the Bush years. He ended up lecturing fellow panel member Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation that Tea Party activists would support President Obama’s budget plan if polled and that they are "not as obsessed with tax cuts as you are."

I'll never forget the first Tea Party "protest" I attended. It really wasn't a protest as much as a rally. It was my first; it's still my only, but it might not be the last...

On January 10, 2011, former Majority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, Tom Delay, was sentenced to three years in jail for his participation in a money laundering conspiracy. Now, his attorney blames the Tea Party, in part, for his conviction. (snip) DeLay's attorney, Dick DeGuerin, explained the Tea Party connection by saying, "We went to trial on the very day people across the country, voters, rebelled against politics." While DeLay presumably does not differ much ideologically from the Tea Party, their inconveniently timed uprising might have irritated liberal jury members, who took their wrath out on Delay.

President Obama's first two years in office were for the ages: Rarely has so much been spent so wantonly with so little discernible public benefit. Nondefense discretionary spending accounted for $434 billion of the federal budget in 2008, without widespread deprivation or riots in the streets. This was the year that then-candidate Obama promised to scour the budget line by line for waste and said in one presidential debate that his program would be a net spending cut. In 2010, such spending was $537 billion of the budget, a 24 percent increase. Throw in the stimulus and its $259 billion...

Something tells me that most of the Democrats did not get the message of last month's election. Apparently they prefer to shove their head in the sand (and most likely somewhere else), and pretend that it never happened. And then there is New York Senator Chuck Schumer. Not only does Senator Schumer deny that the election had any real significance, but that it might have had the opposite affect that people believe it did. In a recent interview, Schumer stated: “Our colleagues on the other side of the aisle said, ‘Did you hear the mandate of the election?’ Well, I...

In the weeks following The One’s election, I released a record that was featured twice on the G Gordon Liddy radio show. It was a nine track rock album filled with hook-driven songs that basically made fun of things I hate: Obama, Achmadinejad, liberals in general, etc. It was great therapy for me, and I partnered with a great charity called The Joshua Fund and donated a percentage of the proceeds to them. Then later, I was blessed to connect up with a Freeper named LisaMei, who covered several of my tunes and eventually played one of them, a September...

To me the difference between conservatives and liberals comes down to one simple thing: the Believers versus the Unbelievers, in freedom. Of the individual sort. The Believers count on their fellow man to act in his own best economic interest. Believers believe at their core the ideals America was founded on: individual freedom and liberty. And, in their view, this extends to private property--that is: the individual's right to amass and employ his private wealth however he sees fit. The Believer's assume their fellow citizens will--for the most part--manage their lives well. They will save and spend the money they...

The polling in Ohio has ramifications far beyond the next seven weeks and the midterm cycle. Barack Obama won Ohio in 2008, the first Democrat to do so in decades, just two years after a scandal involving the previous Republican Governor had allowed Democrats to take control. Two years after that historic result, Democrats are stumbling badly as Ohio prepares to return to its Republican roots, according to Survey USA: "In an election for Ohio Governor today, 09/14/10, former 12th District Republican Congressman John Kasich defeats incumbent Democrat Ted Strickland 52% to 40% to retake the Ohio statehouse, according to...

Tea Party activists marked Tax Day with a high-profile rally in Washington and other protests across the country, but President Obama says the movement actually owes him a thank you. Speaking at a Democratic fundraiser in Miami Thursday night, the president touted tax cuts in the stimulus and the fact that the tax rate has not been increased for those making less than $250,000 a year. "So I've been amused in recent days by these people having rallies," he told the crowd at the fundraiser to laughter. "I think they should be saying, 'Thank you.'" Members of the crowd, who...

His favorable rating stands at a sparkling 35/58 and previous polls have found he’s all but finished if forced to run head to head against Sue Lowden or Danny Tarkanian. But toss a little third-party tea on the gears and magical things start to happen, my friends. Which, of course, is precisely why Palin’s been nudging tea partiers lately to pick a side. As Groundskeeper Willie would say: I warned ye. Didn’t I warn ye?

Here is video from Hannity last night where Sean Hannity talked with the organizers of the "Tea Party Express" movement which has arrived in Washington, D.C. A huge "March on Washington" Rally will be held there today. Hannity talked with organizers Mark Williams, Amy Kremer, and former House Majority Leader Dick Armey. Williams said their largest crowd thus far has been in Illinois, just outside Chicago, where the folks there said they rallied because "they know Obama." The "Tea Party Express" has stopped in 35 cities in 16 states. Hannity asked them how many they expected to attend the March...

Public Discourse: The candidate who told his supporters "to argue with them and get in their face" now finds the shoe on the other foot. So they're taking names and encouraging you to turn in your neighbors. So this is hope and change — telling American citizens who in a democracy disagree with you that they are mind-numbed robots participating in mob action and expressing "manufactured" outrage. Considering that upward of 80% of those hooligans like their doctors, like their insurance and like their care, anger over your government-run health care was not that hard to assemble. It was not that...
