White House press secretary Josh Earnest began his daily press briefing with what sounded like a sober announcement. He said he wanted to clear up something from President Obama's much-talked-about news conference on Thursday. Would he be disclosing the White House's "strategy" for combatting the Islamic State in Syria that Obama said he didn't "yet" have? Nope, he just wanted to joke about that unsightly tan suit. "The president stands squarely behind the decision he made yesterday to wear his summer suit," Earnest said to laughs.
