The FBI is investigating after a suspicious letter was found at a church in Benton Monday morning (Feb. 19). The letter was found at Cypress Baptist Church on Palmetto Road in Benton and contained a white powder, the FBI says. Deputies with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office first responded to the scene. However, BPSO says Louisiana State Police has taken over the investigation. LSP says the investigation has now been turned over to the FBI. Capitol Police arrested a gunman outside office buildings near the US Senate on Tuesday. WASHINGTON (Reuters) -A white powder found inside the White House late on Sunday was identified by Washington's fire department and emergency services as cocaine, a source familiar with the matter said on Tuesday. The source said the powder was found in the West Wing, but gave no further details. The West Wing is attached to the executive mansion where President Joe Biden lives. A woman suspected of trying to poison President Trump has reportedly been arrested. CNN reported Sunday evening, citing “a U.S. law enforcement official,” said that the unnamed woman was taken when she tried to cross from Canada into the U.S. A package containing the poison ricin was sent to Mr. Trump earlier this week but intercepted by law enforcement. The woman was carrying a gun when arrested, CNN reported.
