Television can be something of a wasteland without much for us to celebrate, so it makes us even more thankful for the shows that portray a conservative message. It's nice to see our values represented, and we are grateful to these shows for making that happen, even if they're not always all that friendly. There is outrage over some anti-immigrant fliers that were found posted in Queens. The signs urge people to report undocumented immigrants to the government, calling it "civic duty". The posters are turning up in Sunnyside Queens, an ethnically rich neighborhood in a city full of immigrants. New Mexico plans to sue the federal government and the owners of two Colorado mines that were the source of a massive spill last year that contaminated rivers in Utah and other Western states, officials said Thursday. The New Mexico Environment Department said it filed a notice of its intention to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency over the spill. The lawsuit would be a first and also would target the state of Colorado and the owners of the Gold King and Sunnyside mines. Despite an unusual plea for leniency from Houston's city controller, five-time felon and swindler Dwayne Jordon was handed a 30-year sentence Friday after admitting to stealing 23 properties from rightful owners by forging deeds and building new homes on pilfered land. Thousands of Tucson-area students walked have out of school to show their support for illegal immigration over the last week. Now, some teenagers at the school where the Southern Arizona walkouts began are vocally coming forward to say they're against students skipping school just to make a political point.
