NEW YORK (Reuters) -Summer Zervos, a former contestant on "The Apprentice" who accused Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her, has ended her defamation lawsuit against the former U.S. president, her lawyers said on Friday. Snip "Ms. Zervos made the prudent decision to voluntarily drop her case without the exchange of any compensation or attorneys’ fees," Trump's lawyer Alina Habba said in an email. "She had no choice but to do so as the facts unearthed in this matter made it abundantly clear that our client did nothing wrong."

Former President Donald Trump will have to sit for a deposition sometime before Christmas as part of a defamation lawsuit filed by Summer Zervos, a former contestant on "Apprentice," a judge’s law clerk said Monday. Zervos has alleged that Trump sexually assaulted her at the Beverly Hills Hotel in 2007 and defamed her during his campaign when he said she lied about it. Earlier, in a 2016 statement, Trump had said that he had "never met her at a hotel or greeted her inappropriately a decade ago." The two parties are still haggling over disclosure of certain documents but Zervos’...

Veteran trial lawyer Beth Wilkinson is helping guide U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan as a federal appeals court questions his plan to probe the U.S. Justice Department’s decision to dismiss the case against former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn despite his admission he lied to the FBI. Sullivan refused to immediately dismiss the charge against Flynn, a retired Army general who served for just weeks in Trump’s White House, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit is now weighing whether the longtime Washington federal trial judge overstepped his authority. The appeals court set a June 1...

President Trump may never sit for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, but it’s looking more likely he’ll have to answer questions as part of a defamation lawsuit filed by a former contestant on “The Apprentice.” A ruling by a New York state judge this week said Trump can be deposed in the defamation lawsuit filed by Summer Zervos, the former contestant who has accused Trump of unwanted advances. Some see the legal fight, which has received less publicity than other cases, as the most dangerous to Trump because it could lead to testimony where he’d risk lying or making...

President Trump must sit for seven hours of questioning in the defamation case filed by a former contestant on his reality TV show, a judge ruled Tuesday — but it’s unclear if he’ll get grilled about other women’s allegations of sexual assault and harassment. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Jennifer Schecter ordered that Trump be deposed by Jan. 31 and told lawyers on both sides to submit written arguments on whether Summer Zervos’ lawyer can ask him about the other accusers. The issue could prove thorny for Trump, because the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton grew out of a deposition...

President Trump must face a defamation lawsuit by a former contestant on his reality TV show “The Apprentice” after a Manhattan judge ruled in a first-of-its kind decision that he could not claim immunity through his job as the nation’s commander-in-chief. “No one is above the law,” Justice Jennifer Schecter wrote in the 19-page decision released Tuesday. Trump had argued that presidents are shielded from civil litigation in state courts under the US Constitution’s supremacy clause, but that assertion had never been fully tested by the courts — until now. “It is settled that the President of the United States...

The drama between Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and President Donald Trump has reached absurd heights. First, there was that rather tweet from the president, which was not out of the ordinary. He accused Gillibrand of doing “anything” for campaign contributions. Gillibrand said this was a sexist smear, despite the president using that line on pretty much everyone. This all is part of the ongoing sexual harassment reckoning on the Hill and elsewhere. Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) is gone, and Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) has signaled his intention to leave…whenever that may be. Gillibrand has called on Trump to resign, as...

A woman who claims Donald Trump sexually assaulted her has subpoenaed his campaign for documents relating to other women who might have made similar accusations. Trump has denied the incident took place and is fighting the subpoena. The Hill: A woman who has accused President Trump of groping her in 2007 is subpoenaing his campaign....

A woman who previously accused Donald Trump of unwanted sexual advances has filed a defamation lawsuit against the president elect — just three days before Trump's presidential inauguration. Summer Zervos, a former contestant on the "The Apprentice," said in a press conference with attorney Gloria Allred in Los Angeles on Tuesday that she filed the lawsuit over allegedly false statements Trump made in response to her accusation. The suit, filed Tuesday morning, claims Trump knew his statements about Zervos and his other accusers would subject them to "threats of violence, economic harm and reputational damage." Allred said Zervos would be...

The Apprentice loser and Trump “fake rape” accuser Summer Zervos was bribed $500,000 by Democrat fundraiser and lawyer Gloria Allred to make her accusations against Donald Trump, a deal that was shopped around to other ex-Apprentice contestants too, according to anonymous sources familiar with the matter. GotNews’ source tells us that Zervos’ sexual harassment accusation against Trump is a “completely fabricated hoax.” Zervos was paid half a million dollars by Gloria Allred, which is being paid out “slowly over time” according to our source.

Supporters of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump staged a protest Tuesday outside the Los Angeles office of attorney Gloria Allred, who represents Summer Zervos — the Huntington Beach who claims she was a victim of unwanted sexual advances by Trump. Carrying signs saying “Gloria Allred exploits women” and “Make America Great Again! #MAGA,” a half-dozen protesters rallied near the entrance to Allred’s office at 6300 Wilshire Blvd., in the Miracle Mile area.

Statement from John Barry "I am completely shocked and bewildered by my cousin, Summer Zervos, and her press conference today. Ever since she was on The Apprentice she has had nothing but glowing things to say about Mr. Trump. For almost a decade, my cousin would talk about how much she looked up to Mr. Trump and viewed him as an inspiration – a success story she wanted to copy. Summer would also talk about how kind and caring Mr. Trump was on the show, and how he would even visit children in hospitals without telling the press. She...

OK, so Allred just brought out a new Trump accuser. her name is Summer Zervos and she was a contestant on the Apprentice. Look what she had to say about her experience with Trump back in 2006: "It's extremely intense," Zervos says of the experience. "Hard work. I learned a lot about myself and how you respond when the pressure's on. I left admiring Donald Trump a lot more than when I arrived." http://www.ocregister.com/articles/says-95263-experience-zervos.html
