Thick black smoke billowed Tuesday afternoon from a fire at the Domino Sugar plant in Locust Point, SkyTeam 11 reported. Fire officials said firefighters were called shortly after 3 p.m. to Domino Sugar, where heavy fire and smoke came through the roof of a structure. Once firefighters got inside, fire was showing from a silo that collapsed. The fire made its way onto a conveyor belt and traveled midway through the building.
