Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama voiced Tuesday their support to “reimagine policing” in American communities in reaction to the latest police shooting of Daunte Wright in Minnesota. “Our hearts are heavy over yet another shooting of a Black man, Daunte Wright, at the hands of police,” the Obamas said in a statement, describing the shooting as proof of “just how badly we need to reimagine policing and public safety in this country.”

The World Court, the highest United Nations tribunal, on Wednesday ordered the United States to ensure that sanctions against Iran do not impact humanitarian aid or civil aviation safety.

Connecticut gun owners are calling the state’s anti-gun bluff. The state recently passed a slew of anti-gun legislation, including a gun registration program for so called “assault rifles” that has been received with less enthusiasm than Obamacare. In fact, many gun owners in Connecticut have elected to ignore the patently unconstitutional law in the same way that Millennials have ignored the IRS requirement for health insurance. And now, as the state issues threatening letters and increased confiscation rhetoric, citizens are telling the state: “Come and take them.”

Two 'highlights' from Elizabeth Edwards' just-completed interview on the Larry King show: 1. in describing the need to bring the country back together after the election, she expressed the fear W would be incapable of doing it, because he engaged in "character assassination" during the campaign; and 2. asked what her priorities would be if her husband and Kerry are elected, she mentioned her desire to be an advocate for military families, saying they haven't been fairly treated, and that military families hesitate to criticize W for fear of "recriminations by the Commander-in-Chief."
