CHICAGO, IL.- On Friday evening, around a dozen University of Chicago students occupied the campus police building for 20 hours, demanding that the university defund the police department and instead divert funds to grassroots projects on the South Side of the city. WBBM Newsradio reported that the #CareNotCops campaign, which is part of UChicago’s Student Action set up inside the building on Friday afternoon for a rally and demonstration that lasted overnight Friday and ended Saturday morning.

^Video At Link (TFP Stands for Tradition, Family and Property) "The video speaks for itself. They don't tolerate God's marriage. In fact, our volunteers have been bullied, pepper sprayed, hit with glass bottles, sprayed with pesticide, punched, and spit on for peacefullystating that marriage iswhat it is – the unionbetween one man and one woman." "When you watch same-sex 'marriage' activists destroy your signs, desecrate the Bible, blaspheme, and burn your literature, it becomes clear that the homosexual agenda is not really about tolerance," Ritchie said. "It's about the formation of a strange dictatorship – a dictatorship of pseudo-tolerance and...

America’s largest Catholic university offers minor in “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Studies,” TFP Student Action calls for peaceful protest DePaul University is apparently the first Catholic university to formally establish an undergraduate minor program in homosexuality. The new program began in January, sparking controversy and concern over the state of moral decay within higher learning. “I must say the program is shameful, especially for a university that advertises itself as Catholic. The Church teaches that homosexual vice is intrinsically evil, sinful, unnatural. To pretend the topic is open to other valid interpretations is to simply deny Catholic teaching,”...

To call abortion what it is - a grave sin - on any college campus is like exposing a raw nerve or scrubbing an infected wound. At least that is the experience of members of TFP Student Action in the past, and it was no different this time at the University of Pittsburgh on Veteran's Day, November 11. At the crack of dawn, a contingent of TFP volunteers set out from their Spring Grove headquarters to Pittsburgh. The five-hour journey did not concern these young men seasoned in the art of street campaigns, eager to oppose the sin of abortion...

Scandal at Saint Joseph’s University Continues under Different NameWhen you think the Holy Catholic Church cannot possibly endure further attacks or dissent from within, something painfully happens to prove the contrary. According to Saint Joseph’s University newspaper, The Hawk, a pro-homosexual event known on campus as “Rainbow Week” was renamed this year for “Unity Week” to avoid protest. “Scheduled to begin October 30, Unity Week will follow in the Rainbow Week tradition of educating and promoting acceptance of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students and faculty.” What happened on campus in 2004 shocked many Catholics, when the Jesuit University held...

Catholic University hosts sacrilegious display against the Blessed Mother, offending students, faculty and Catholics nationwide Something extremely alarming and shameful occurred at the University of Dayton, where Our Blessed Mother was depicted in an exhibit amid pictures of prostitutes and pornography.1 The sacrilegious display, "Heartlands," by Derek A. Cracco, an assistant professor of art at the University of Alabama, was on public display in the Rike Center Gallery of the University of Dayton from February 22 to March 11. Ranking among the ten largest Catholic universities in the country, the University of Dayton, founded by the Society of Mary in...

If someone hung a picture of your mother amid images of prostitutes and pornography, would you be upset? Would you protest? I’m sure you would. In fact, the Blessed Mother is being insulted in this fashion at the Catholic University of Dayton, where an “art” exhibit in the Rike Center Gallery depicts “Mary amid images of prostitutes, pornography and firearms that has shocked some students and professors…” (Dayton Daily News, 03-07-05) Even worse – the University of Dayton is one of the nation's ten largest Catholic universities, founded in 1850 by the Society of Mary, whose particular mission is to...

The case of Terri Schiavo has been riveting public opinion for some time now. However, recent events have forced the issue into the foreground. Terri’s time may be running out. If her husband, Michael, has things his way, Terri’s feeding tube will be wrenched from her on Friday, February 25 at 5:00 pm, resulting in her starvation and death. Right now, Terri’s parents are praying and fighting in court to keep her alive. The American TFP is part of a groundswell of reaction and is petitioning Gov. Jeb Bush and others to intervene. Catholic teaching is very clear on the...
