South Carolina and Texas played for the title last year, but both faced elimination Tuesday. Results were mixed. Sam LeCure allowed only one run as defending champ Texas sent Miami home with a 5-1 win. The Gamecocks weren't as lucky. Stanford, behind Danny Putnam's five RBI, eliminated the Gamecocks 13-6.
