“Now we’re essentially all consuming very childish things – comic books, superheroes. Adults are watching this stuff, and taking it seriously! “It is a kind of dumbing down in a way, because it’s taking our focus away from real-world issues.” “Films used to be about challenging, emotional journeys or moral questions that might make you walk away and re-evaluate how you felt about... whatever. Now we’re walking out of the cinema really not thinking about anything, other than the fact that the Hulk had a fight with a robot.”

Simon Pegg dabbled in apocalyptic nightmares via his zombie horror comedy Shaun of the Dead. Now the British actor and Star Trek star is trying to scare "deniers" into accepting the climate change doomsayers. Pegg fired off the following tweet today, his personal way of telling those who don't worship at the altar of Al Gore that there's no turning back from being wrong. Simon Pegg ✔ @simonpegg What will all the deniers say when their lives are palpably affected by climate change. When they’re drowning, burning or starving. Simon Pegg has joked that his son will be able to run for President because of his recent move to America. The Shaun Of The Dead star claimed that his son will effectively be a "little American" because of the amount of time he is spending out there working on films. "Because of work, we have to sort of ship the whole Pegg clan over - dog and all," he told GMTV. "And so I guess we'll have a little American - but it could be President one day!"
