ATLANTA, GA — In what some industry insiders have described as a clear case of "one-upmanship," Delta Airlines has raised the diversity, equity, and inclusion bar even higher after introducing its new "short plane" specifically designed for special needs pilots. With increased scrutiny of late on airlines implementing DEI policies among crucial flight crew positions, the Atlanta-based airline giant took the unprecedented step of creating an entirely new model of aircraft to accommodate pilots who are either physically or mentally incapable of operating a standard aircraft. "This is a huge step forward for the retarded folk, er, I mean, the...

Beyond the Reset is a 24 minute animated video about a distopian future not too far off. It takes the projections of social control set up by the COVID 19 pandemic and projects a bleak future. The video is all animated. There is no sound track. Following the action is fairly easy, and the signs in the video scenes provide information about what is happening. The projected use of robotic drones and vehicles to compel compliance is well done. Watching the video is a sort of short-hand, 21st century version of Orwell's 1984, with an updated outlook. Link to Beyond the...

The GameStop hearing on Capitol Hill was a chance for elective leaders to challenge Wall Street hedge funds on the ethics of taking large short positions on struggling stocks. However, viewers of the highly anticipated hearing were left with plenty of questions and few answers. In fact, the only clear answer from Thursday’s hearing was the majority of politicians on Capitol Hill seem to favor the elites on Wall Street over working class Americans. ...While committee members seemed to completely dismiss the idea that Melvin Capital and other hedge funds conducted an illegal naked short on GameStop, one person who did...

In Ireland, the 99-year-old Mother Superior lay quietly. She was dying. The Nuns had gathered around her bed, laying garlands around her and trying to make her last journey comfortable. They wanted to give her warm milk to drink but she declined. One of the nuns took the glass back to the kitchen. Then, remembering a bottle of Irish Whiskey that had been received as a gift the previous Christmas, she opened it and poured a generous amount into the warm milk. Back at Mother Superior's bed, they lifted her head gently and held the glass to her lips. The...

(snip) --- Janet L. Yellen was the most qualified Federal Reserve chair we’ve ever had and maybe the most successful Federal Reserve chair we’ve ever had. But, in part because she was also the shortest Federal Reserve chair we’ve ever had, she wasn’t reappointed by President Trump. (snip) -- That’s not a joke, or at least not a deliberate one. Trump, according to The Washington Post, seems to believe that the Fed is a lot like a roller coaster: You have to be so tall to go on it. In particular, he thought that the 5-foot-3-inch Yellen was too short...
