Republican nominee for the 2nd Congressional District Jean Schmidt met with President Bush in the Oval Office June 29. During that meeting, Schmidt was given a handwritten note from President Bush to be delivered to the parents of Sgt. Matt Maupin, the only U.S. serviceman listed as Missing In Action in the Iraq War.
