I am planning to install an around the house night vision camera system. Hardwired. My electrician can run the negligible additional wiring needed. I would like it to record to an on site recorder. I would like it to alert us when people arrive and allow us to look through phone or tablet. I would like to be able to move it to internet surveillance when we are off the property. Is this doable? I see systems prices all over the map. At what sort of cost Who could do it? An electrician? I have had big deal national alarm...

I am trying to set up a security camera for the front gate. I need to hard wire it because out net goes down often out here in the country. NO company I can find can reach over 70 ft hard wired and I need 700 ft. All I want is a camera with IR back to a monitor in the house. All aside fences are protected with a thick stand of blackberries. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

A group of young, would-be burglars jumped the fence at their intended victim's house, but apparently didn't account for what awaited them on the other side. Homeowner, Joann Mendenhall said someone breaking into her back yard would normally be no laughing matter, but she had a little chuckle seeing suspects run from her back yard.
