A spokeswoman for the hardware chain told The Wrap the company had “incomplete information” when it decided to stop advertising on “The Ingraham Angle.” Ace was among numerous companies that fled Ingraham’s show after she mocked David Hogg, a survivor of the February mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 people dead. “Advertising on any network or show, is in no way an endorsement from Ace of the content contained or spoken within that program,” the Ace spokeswoman said in a statement. “We appreciate the different points of view from our customers, and...

As Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg testifies before Congress about the company’s failure to protect user’s personal data, the social media monopoly is facing more charges of censoring conservative voices. Aric Nesbitt, a former member of the Michigan House of Representatives and state lottery commissioner, wanted to amplify his announcement for State Senate on Facebook, so he submitted it the way any candidate or company would. But the ad was quickly rejected “because it doesn’t follow our Advertising Policies. We don’t allow ads that contain shocking, disrespectful or sensational content, including ads that depict violence or threats of violence,”...

The Parkland shooting incited protests calling for gun control that gained medial attention as lawmakers looked for ways in order to respond to the shooting and prevent future shootings from happening. Ron DeSantis, Florida Governor candidate, is arguing that he would’ve vetoed the controversial gun bill that Governor Rick Scott signed into law. The bill drew protests form the NRA because it raised the purchasing age of a firearm from 18 to 21 and it banned “bump stock” attachments. The bill also drew some opposition from gun control activists because it called for certain school staff to be properly trained...

An Illinois technocrat has demonstrated the Progressive attitude about the Constitution and the Second Amendment. Representative Bill Foster has a PhD in Physics from Harvard. He was raised and earned his Bachelor degree in ultra-liberal Madison, Wisconsin. In his view, the Constitution is a document that can be re-interpreted to mean different things every few years. That is true in a sense. Amendments to the Constitution can be put forward and passed any time. It is clear a constitutional amendment is not what Representative Foster is talking about. From chicagotribune.com: Flanked by two area high school students, a pediatrician...

We don’t always delve down to the level of state and local politics, but this rather curious story caught my attention this week. A Democratic state representative in New Hampshire, Katherine Rogers, has stepped over the line and dared to tread where most Granite State residents would never set foot. She’s not just pushing for tougher gun control laws, but suggesting that recent talk about repealing the Second Amendment is “a discussion we should have.” (New Hampshire Journal)

The lawsuit challenges Deerfield’s recent attempt to criminalize so-called “assault weapons” and “high capacity magazines” within village limits. “Every law-abiding villager of Deerfield has the right to protect themselves, their homes, and their loved ones with the firearm that best suits their needs,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director of NRA-ILA. “The National Rifle Association is pleased to assist Gun Save Life in defense of this freedom.” By amending an existing 2013 ordinance, the...

Mass shootings have generated a wave of anti-gun activism, and the Feb. 14 attack in Broward County, Florida, has been no exception. The “March for Our Lives” movement has generated wide media coverage, school walk-outs and anti-gun rallies across the country, highlighted by the demonstration attended by tens of thousands in Washington last month. It’s also created instant celebrities, such as Parkland, Florida, student David Hogg, who’s made a name for himself on television and social media for his demand for gun control. But parents in one school district say that while they recognize free-speech rights, the district is going...

Over the last couple of weeks, a dramatic saga has taken place between open carry advocates and Olmos Park police in Texas. The incident began on Monday, March 26 when CJ Grisham, the founder of Open Carry Texas (OCT), put in a call to Olmos Park Police Chief Rene Valenciano. Grisham questioned Valenciano's stance on open carry and whether or not open carry activists would have issues if a demonstration was held in the San Antonio suburb. On Tuesday, March 27, OCT held an open carry rally in Olmos Park, which resulted in the arrest of three OCT members, including...

This de Blasio administration official set one heckuva bad example for the teens she was hired to keep out of jail. Reagan Stevens, a deputy director in the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, and two young men were arrested for illegal weapons possession while sitting in a double-parked car near the scene of a Saturday night shooting in Queens, cops said. A loaded, 9-mm. semiautomatic pistol with its serial number defaced was hidden in the car’s glove box, and there was a spent shell casing on the floor
