With teachers and staff carrying concealed handguns in certain school districts within 18 states, much of the country has gotten used to the idea. In the aftermath of the Florida high school shooting, a couple of surveys have been done on Americans views on arming teachers.

Woe to the first teacher who accidentally shoots a student instead of the attacker(s). The leftist/marxist/commie/anti-gunners/socialist etc are going to be all over him/her, and their/families’ lives are going to be living hell. A liability fund *must* be established to protect our childrens’ protectors.
I don’t even pretend to know all the legalities involved, but there will be many, as the leftist slime, scum and assorted filth ooze from the sewer pipes looking for their “cuts” and placing pre-written “told ya so” articles in all of the leftist media.
I think you are misunderstanding the concept. I know some students deserve severe punishment, but the teachers only intend to shoot people hell bent to shoot others. Anyone shooting a gun in a school is pretty much going to be a target.
BTW, there will be a hell of a lot of training on how to recognize situations that require armed resistance. One sure way, shots fired outside your classroom.
I also have to admit to being concerned about late night returns to the parking lot. In some towns, this may be as dangerous as a school shooting.
Armed schoolmarms is nuthin` new up here in the mountains since over 200 years ago we had`em:
viz.
In 1800:
Children of the present day would be somewhat startled to go to school attended by large dogs, to keep off the bears and other wild animals, to study all day by the crackle of the great fire and back logs, to hear the howling of wolves at rollcall, and see the teacher take from its resting place over the door, a trusty rifle to guard the way home. Such were the first schools in 1800.
Periwinkle, The Sentinel, Feb 21, 1874 [Ticonderoga Sentinel, Ticonderoga, NY]
People just plain fergit from whence we came. In 1800 schoolmarms with muskets could stop a pack of wolves with 3 shots in 46 seconds- they was good coz they were trained since they were young`uns how to hit a squirrel`s shadow at 140 yards..
Now we need`em back, them armed schoolmarms, to stop dead in their tracks them thar 2 legged armed lone wolves. We ain`t stupoid up`n here mountains, y`know. It`s Readin`, Writin, `Rithmetic and RIFLES! The 4 R`s.
Plus Big Dogs IN school doorways protect the kids and attack the lone wolfer before he even gets a foot set on the parking lot coz them BIG DOGS can SMELL danger 3 miles away, we know it too. If`n them cops can have K-9s for their protection, our children deserve K-9`s even more coz them cops is armed and got dogs, but our kids got neither. Unarmed Innocent Kids deserve more protection than armed cops.
Every able-bodied teacher capable of bearing arms should have the right to carry a concealed firearm
Doesn’t matter! Liberals are against it and that seems an insurmountable blockade. Israel has been doing it for years. They have had 2 school shootings in 40 some years and both shooters were killed. That kind of evidence will not matter to someone with a closed mind. It’s the only cure that makes sense. Instead, liberals will be calling for gun control. In doing so, they give away their real agenda, to do away with all guns.

I’m a VERY pro-gun person, but I do think that in a school environment those who carry should be required to demonstrate their proficiency in the use of their weapons. But presumably that’s what you mean by the words “capable of bearing arms”.
