We're on her side! If you've taken a few flights in your life, there's a good chance that at some point, another passenger has asked to switch seats with you. Sometimes, it's totally worth it to sit somewhere else so a family can be together. Other times — when it would mean leaving a truly amazing seat in first class — it makes sense to say no way. In a video she shared on TikTok, @maresasd explained that she was asked to move from her first class seat on a plane. And honestly, her response is something a lot of...

Both Donald Trump and Bill O'Reilly touted huge crowds ahead of their "History Tour." But it kicked off at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida, with many empty seats, according to local media. "Massive crowd headed into FLA Live! The Trump/O'Reilly History show starts soon...," O'Reilly, the former Fox host, wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

The Federal Aviation Administration would be required to set new minimum requirements for seats on airplanes under legislation to be considered in the House this week, possibly giving passengers a break from ever-shrinking legroom and cramped quarters. The regulation of seat width and legroom is part of a five-year extension of federal aviation programs announced early Saturday by Republican and Democratic leaders of the House and Senate committees that oversee the nation’s air travel. Congress faces a Sept. 30 deadline to keep FAA programs running. The Senate will also need to take up the bill this week or both chambers...

A federal appeals court on Tuesday shot down protesters’ challenge of regulations that allow Donald Trump’s Presidential Inauguration Committee first dibs on the location of bleachers along the Friday’s inaugural parade route. As a result of the ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, the inauguration committee can keep set-aside bleacher seats in place at both Freedom Plaza and in front of the Trump International Hotel - locations protesters had sought to demonstrate in during Friday’s parade. The decision is a blow to anti-war group Answer Coalition, which has challenged the National Park Services’ allocation of...

Six years ago, The Onion ran a story called "United Airlines Exploring Viability Of Stacking Them Like Cordwood," with "them" being a humorous refusal to even say the word "passenger." Now Zodiac Seats France has actually come up with something that's arguably worse, a seating configuration that looks like a covert way to get people to demand high speed trains, more Amtrak lines, more steam ships—whatever it takes to never, ever fly again.

The kumbaya quest for peace and love in American politics has hit a new low. Sen. Mark Udall, Colorado Democrat, has proposed that as a symbolic stab at the "nasty partisanship" in government, members of Congress should abjure the tradition of sitting in party blocks during the State of the Union address and instead intermingle. Perhaps they all should hold hands while the president is speaking too. A letter to congressional leaders signed by proponents of this exercise in musical chairs claims, "the choreographed standing and clapping of one side of the room - while the other side sits -...

The Senate has voted on three pieces of legislation today that required 60 votes–to raise the debt ceiling to $14.3 trillion, to reduce the deficit by establishing five-year discretionary spending caps, and Ben Bernanke’s confirmation–all of which interim Senator Paul Kirk (D-MA) has voted on. In addition, there have been other Senate votes since Scott Brown was elected as Massachusetts senator that Kirk cast a vote.

Both Clinton and Schumer were participating in Senate meetings when the call came (of Moynihan's death) but did not want to miss out on the Public Relations buzz that would come from announcing the great Democratic Senator Moynihan's death themselves.'Clinton could barely contain herself with the news,' says a Democratic staffer present at the meeting Hillary was attending along with a number of other Democratic Senators. 'She pratically ran out the door to make the announcement.'Clinton beat both Schumer's and the Moynihan's family announcements by several hours. But Schumer, instead of being angry at Clinton's ghastly behaviour was more upset...

Worship centers ponder best spiritual seating Saturday, September 28, 2002 By Juanita Westaby The Grand Rapids Press Aworshipper's mind is supposed to be on God, but every once in awhile, it slips to his or her backside. Information from Our Sponsors There's the pinched nerve, the lower backache, the legs that just have to cross and uncross so the movement can ease muscles strained from sitting. Between the yearnings for God and a happy backside, many West Michigan churches are searching for seating that will provide members the best fit for worship. A growing number of local worship centers are...
