North country Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava has resigned from her leadership position in the state Assembly. In a prepared statement, Republican Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb said he accepted her resignation as Minority Leader Pro Tempore. Just before last week's election, Scozzafava dropped out of the Congressional race and backed the Democrat, Bill Owens, who went on to win. Scozzafava met Monday to discuss her actions.
