JOLIET, Ill. — From nearly the moment the lead investigator stepped into the suburban Chicago area home where former policeman Drew Peterson's third wife was found dead in a bathtub, he treated her death as a tragic accident.

Savio essentially will testify from the grave Tuesday, with witnesses expected to tell a judge in Illinois how Savio discussed and wrote about her fears that her husband, former Bolingbrook police Sgt. A source told the Chicago Sun-Times that Peterson also told two other people about her husband's confessions to her about the death of Kathleen Savio, his third ex-wife. Reviled at birth, the Free Speech Movement is returning under a crown of glory to its UC Berkeley home this week. More than 50 events are being held to mark the movement's 40th anniversary, including an echo of the captive police-car episode.
