  • What's with the recent trend of tagging non-relevant articles with palin or sarahpalin?

What's with the recent trend of tagging articles with palin or sarahpalin that have nothing to do with Sarah Palin? If your article has nothing to do with Palin, please don't tag it as such. It's bad enough that journalists use her name to get hits to their articles or as a cheap source of writing material. We don't need that attitude here too. Just because people want to increase traffic to their posts, doesn't mean they should tag their posted articles with palin or sarahpalin. This just clutters the keyword/tagging system.
  • Sarah Palin: Afghanistan, Health Care, “Climategate” - The Media Is Concerned About My Travel?

It’s really comical at this point! Despite all of the important events happening in the world today – the president’s speech tonight on the strategy in Afghanistan, the Senate debate over health care reform, the disturbing details of the “Climategate” scandal, the continuing challenges facing the world economy – the media is concerned about my travel and lodging arrangements on my book tour?! Does this sound familiar? It should. The media showed the same out-of-proportion obsession with my personal arrangements, clothes, and hairstyles last year instead of focusing on the crucial issues involving the election. So what is this news...

The first Republican straw poll of the 2012 campaign got underway Thursday morning at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C. Before the three-day gathering of conservative activists began, the straw poll's creator, Fabrizio, McLaughlin and Associates, would not release its wording. But we've now got our hands on it. As conference attendees walk into the Omni Shoreham Hotel ballroom in Washington, DC, they are invited to fill out a questionnaire. The presidential preference question asks: "Thinking ahead to the 2012 Presidential election, who would you vote for as the next Republican nominee for President?" It then lists...

ASK not what Sarah Palin can do for your country, ask only what you can do for Sarah Palin. And the answer is, pay attention. Trust me, Alaska's governor is moving faster than those glaciers. Traveling with one of her ladies-in-waiting and invited by a rich GOPnik, she'll be at Saturday's invite-only/political mandarins-only Alfalfa Club dinner in DC. This club began back aways to honor Gen. Robert E. Lee whom, you may recall, did a little something in the Civil War. Why it exists, I don't know. What it does, I don't know. I only know it's too exclusive to...

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Nov. 22) - Sarah Palin is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches at a rate astonishing for most Hollywood stars, let alone a first-term governor. Oprah wants her. So do Letterman and Leno. The failed Republican vice presidential candidate crunched state budget numbers this past week in her 17th-floor office as tumbling oil prices hit Alaska's revenues. Her staff, meanwhile, fielded television requests seeking the 44-year-old Palin for late-night banter and Sunday morning Washington policy. Agents from the William Morris Agency and elsewhere, have come knocking. There even has...

The GOP’s crush on Sarah Palin Says Gallup: PRINCETON, NJ — Republicans and Republican-leaning independents are most interested in seeing Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee run for the party’s presidential nomination in 2012. Those three received the highest scores among the 10 possible candidates evaluated in a recent Gallup Panel survey. According to the poll, 67 percent of Republicans would like to see Palin run four years from now, with 62 percent favorable toward a Romney run and 61 percent toward Huckabee. And which potential candidates would the party faithful least like to see on the ballot? The...

Fans Push Palin for President in 2012 November 23, 2008 01:38 PM ET | Bedard, Paul | Permanent Link By Paul Bedard, Washington Whispers. For conservative Republicans looking for a fresh face, Sarah Palin wasn't just the GOP flavor of the month. We hear that several conservatives from the Bush & Reagan administrations are quietly mobilizing a draft movement to make the Alaska governor a 2012 front-runner for prez. Our intrepid tipster says that they have already purchased a Web address and are commissioning white papers from experts on how the Gipper followed defeats with victories. They are also drawing...

For the first time, the world is now hearing from the man seen in the background of Governor Sarah Palin's visit to an Alaskan turkey farm. Brian Tomes says he was just doing his job and "things happen." Tomes was going about his gruesome task of slaughtering turkeys as Palin gave a TV interview, talking about her Thanksgiving plans. The farmhand told INSIDE EDITION he didn't realize he could be seen as Palin was speaking. "I thought they had panned in on her face…I did try and block the process," he says. The video has become a YouTube sensation with...

Understanding Palin power By Adam Graham In a CBS Poll after the 1992 election, 12% of Republicans supported Dan Quayle for President. In 1996, no one clamored for Jack Kemp to run in 2000. After the 2000 campaign, Joe Lieberman's 2004 effort bombed worse than Howard the Duck. After 2004, John Edwards trailed badly to Hillary Clinton in the earliest Democratic Primary polls, and fell by the wayside leading up to the Obama-Clinton battle. History has not been kind to losing Vice-Presidential candidates. They are often cast aside as failed marketing gimmicks that didn't pan out. This is what makes...

In the last couple of weeks, there is no denying that Sarah Palin has attained superstar status in the political arena and the Democrats and the mainstream media are scratching their heads and wondering what hit them. In fact, in a matter of days, she has had more media scrutiny than Barack Obama has had in the past two years. I seriously doubt if they will admit the truth about Sarah Palin, even if they were able to accept it. There's no deep dark mystery here, no Rosetta Stone required to decipher the Palin phenomenon. It's as simple as first...

FAIRFAX, Va. - It was Republican John McCain’s turn on Wednesday to relish the kind rock-star treatment usually associated with his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, in the tightening race for the White House. Under burning sunshine at a park in a suburb outside Washington, D.C., McCain and his newly minted running-mate Sarah Palin drew a crowd of approximately 23,000, which his campaign said was his biggest on the presidential trail. Campaigns are notorious for inflating crowd estimates. But a McCain’s aide stressed the number was the real thing — provided by a fire marshal no less. It could very well...

Rudy did well enough that we can forgive him for running long and getting this bumped from the program, especially since they’re going to capitalize on the fee-vah and air it tonight. What do the Nielsen ratings look like, you say? Why, like this. For the moment, at least, with curiosity peaking, the Barracuda is an even bigger draw than The One. 'Our mama beats your Obama' among the quick creations Local and Internet-based businesses are cranking out Sarah Palin products -- from "Palin Power" maternity T-shirts to "Wonder Palin" thong underwear. One Anchorage entrepreneur, Jim Dooley, printed about 700 John McCain/Palin shirts this weekend, delivering the first batch to the Alaska State Fair by 4 p.m. Friday. They sold out every day. Dooley declined to say how much money he made on the pro-Palin shirts during Alaska's biggest summer bash. But it was enough to "pay for my turkey legs and pork-chop on a stick," he said. ST. PAUL, Minn. — Sarah Palin found some unlikely allies Wednesday as leading academics and even former top aides to Hillary Rodham Clinton endorsed the Republican charge that John McCain’s running mate has been subject to a sexist double standard by the news media and Democrats. Georgetown University professor Deborah Tannen, who has written best-selling books on gender differences, said she agrees with complaints that Palin skeptics — including prominent voices in the news media — have crossed a line by speculating about whether the Alaska governor is neglecting her family in pursuit of national office. “What we’re dealing with...

The USS Sarah Palin steamed toward the Peoples Republic of Obama ejecting his media army from its entrenchments. As the McCain brigade moved forward, the media, with bloodied ears and long faces dropped their weapons and moved towards them waving a white flag, bringing to mind the first Iraq War as the elite Iraqi Republican Guard attempted to surrender to a once loyal American Media. Well, as Col.Jessup says, "Speak softly and carry an armored tank division, I always say." Arrangements are being made, as we report for the representatives of the Peoples Republic of Obama to sign an unconditional...

I have never met a weak woman or a male victim in Alaska. You've got to be tough to survive in a state that is further away from Washington than any other, except Hawaii. In terms of the contrasts between how most Alaskans think and what passes for reasoning by career politicians in Washington, Alaska might as well be a colony on the moon. Initial criticism from the Obama campaign (and his media acolytes) is that Gov. Sarah Palin lacks experience to be vice president and, if necessary, president. That Obama lacks experience to be president has led some pundits...

New research shows that voters give female governors significantly higher marks than their male counterparts on such qualities as honesty, cooperation and caring—as well as toughness. And at a time when the national debate has become poisonously partisan, governors like ... Palin, 43, are making their mark with a pragmatic, postpartisan approach to solving problems, a style that works especially well with the large numbers of independent voters in their respective states. In Alaska, Palin is challenging the dominant, sometimes corrupting, role of oil companies in the state's political culture. "The public has put a lot of faith in us," says...
