Its really comical at this point! Despite all of the important events happening in the world today the presidents speech tonight on the strategy in Afghanistan, the Senate debate over health care reform, the disturbing details of the Climategate scandal, the continuing challenges facing the world economy the media is concerned about my travel and lodging arrangements on my book tour?! Does this sound familiar? It should. The media showed the same out-of-proportion obsession with my personal arrangements, clothes, and hairstyles last year instead of focusing on the crucial issues involving the election.
So what is this news story? That I fly on an airplane to complete some of the stops on my book tour when its impractical or physically impossible to reach the next event on time by bus. Some news outlets are behaving as if my travel was a secret that they didnt know about despite the fact that Ive tweeted about my flights and at least one local newspaper reported on the arrival of my flight into Rochester, NY. Whats even funnier is that these same media outlets think its shocking that we stay in hotels. I guess they expected us to pitch a tent alongside the road. We love the great outdoors, but such an arrangement is hardly practical for a book tour. Using common sense, it was determined that traveling by plane between some stops would save time and energy and allow me to go to more events. Economically speaking for HarperCollins, its more efficient to travel by charter, and I am very grateful to the publisher for providing my family and me with this incredible opportunity to shake hands with as many Americans as possible on this book tour. etc........
BTT. Heck, ABC put more reporters on that - three - than they’ve put on Climategate so far.
Surprised they could fit that in between the 24/7 Tiger Woods coverage...sheesh.
Once again Sarah nails it and makes the MSM look like fools. I love this woman.
Libs be afraid, be very afraid.
“They can, of course, report on whatever they like, but in my opinion CBS loses whatever professional integrity it still has when it links in its report to a website devoted to the bizarre conspiracy theory that Im not the real mother of my son Trig. “
Not just your opinion, Governor.
Godspeed.
And remember, the bitter woman critiquing your private use of a private jet in your private business venture lost her boondoggling junketing politician father in a private jet crash. But then, he was a democrat poltician probably traveling on taxpayer money...
s’Okay.
I swear she reads FR!
Just Awesome; she just keeps getting better and better!
She’s AWESOME. Love how she brought up Climategate, something the lamestream media refuses to talk about. I really don’t get the media at all, we all know journalism is officially dead. They already smear her for her voice, her clothes, her children, everything, now they make a fuss about her flying on a plane! WHO FREAKIN CARES. So she flies, how do they expect her to get around, on her magic carpet? Do they think she is a space alien or something..she flies to get from place to place..just like what, oh, 300 million Americans do every single day
I think she goes on this site..I have a good hunch she does..and NO I’m not her :-)
And the lame stream media also ignores the fact that michelle, my belle, spent $900 for a pair of hip boots, which are paid for by OUR taxes. Never mind, that obozo is flying all over the world on our dime, apologizing for America, and bowing inappropriately to world leaders. Sarah is paying her own way.
They make me sick!
Has Andrew Sullivan yet commented about this scandalous mode of business travel.
YAWN.
The MSM consists of several dozen narcissists who all are writing stories strictly for oneanother to read.
YAWN.
The reason of course, is that Palin has no official position right now, so everything they throw at her is unrelated to anything important. It isn't like the hate campaign against Bush who, as president, mattered. It is more the equivalent of negative gossip, over the back fence stuff. Normal people will quickly take its measure and move on.
The benefit long term is that if and when she runs for something, the public will respond to novelty--actual information about her ideas, rather than the tenth snide ho-hum article about one of her children.
A Lakers fan, well...nobody’s perfect
*snicker* Go, Sarah!
In fishing, this is known as setting the hook and letting the fish play themselves into utter exhaustion. I guess the media is really as smart as a fish.
LOL I’ve always been a fan of the purple and gold. Hey this is LA, who am I gonna root for..the Clippers LOL
I would hope so. And if so, Hi Sarah!!!!! :-)
Keep UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!
