Nothing captures the hate experienced during another term of President Donald Trump more starkly than the victimization of transgender people.

The President of the United States spent his Tuesday morning publicly harassing a 16-year-old high school junior. Her only crime? The talented student athlete won two California Interscholastic Federation titles in the girls’ long jump and triple jump at the Southern Section finals held Saturday and is now entitled to compete in the state finals in Clovis, May 30-31.

Antisemitism is increasing on university campuses — and throughout the world. But let’s be clear: Donald Trump and the right wing are not fighting antisemitism. They are exploiting it. And they are deliberately doing so, using Jewish people as pawns in a broader war on education.
