The future of the Murdoch media dynasty, a powerful empire that has shaped conservative politics across the English-speaking world for decades, is about to be hashed out in an unlikely venue: a nondescript probate court in Reno, Nevada. Surrounded by parking lots and across the road from a business named “Bail Bonds Unlimited”, it is this courthouse in downtown Reno where Rupert Murdoch and his eldest son Lachlan are set to face off against three of his other children: James, Elisabeth and Prudence. Murdoch, 93, wants to change the trust he set up in 1999 which grants each of the...

Don't know if others have noticed but the Daily Mail, a popular source here, has gone full blown anti Trump. Happened since Kamala entered the race. They weren't "pro Trump" before but their coverage used to be fair. Now the ariticles are now all negative stories about Trump. He is mocked, ridiculed.. non stories are made into stories and fake/ propaganda poll numbers gets top billing. This is clearly an editorial decision.

Court documents show Murdoch wants to give more voting rights to his conservative son, and CEO of Fox, Lachlan. Murdoch went to court last year in a bid to increase Lachlan’s voting power at the expense of his three other children, James, Elisabeth, and Prudence, who have grown uncomfortable with the media empire’s rightward shift, the New York Times reported. The billionaire, alongside Lachlan, is arguing a “lack of consensus” will disrupt Fox’s and News Corp.’s strategic direction, according to court documents reviewed by the publication. Murdoch’s three other children, who are said to have been blindsided by the move,...

A photo emerged of media magnate Rupert Murdoch sulking alongside Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) during Sen. JD Vance’s (R-OH) speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Wednesday night. (snip) “Rupert was in an ornery mood. He was lashing out at event staff and spewing profanity. He doesn’t like losing and this was a huge loss for him. At one point Don Jr’s face appeared on the Jumbotron and Rupert shook his fist and screamed something unintelligible,” a source who witnessed Murdoch’s tantrum said.

[cut] You couldn’t have predicted this jubilance a few years ago. On January 7, 2021, Trump was an exile of sorts. Then, after the 2022 elections, he was chastised for his role in setting up the GOP’s midterm failure. The conservative movement’s main media pipeline, Fox News, was turning on him. MAGA’s ascendant tech-tycoon class salivated over Ron DeSantis. The party’s national security wing pined for Nikki Haley. But then Trump was indicted and Republicans, including his opponents, rallied around him. And then he won the primary without participating in a single debate. And then he was convicted and his...

The New York Post editorial board on Monday published an extremely curious piece advocating that former President Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president who will formally accept the party’s nomination in July at the Republican National Convention (RNC), make certain picks for his running mate and avoid others. The Post, which News Corporation’s Rupert Murdoch controls, went all in for North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R), with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) offered up as a backup option, and went all in against Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), who has been emerging in recent weeks as a top contender. This comes...

The Fox and News Corp mogul is engaged to Elena Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist.Rupert Murdoch is engaged to Elena Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist, with plans for a wedding. A source told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday that the 92-year-old media mogul plans to marry Zhukova, 62, on June 1 in a ceremony on his California vineyard and estate, Moraga. Murdoch reportedly started dating Zhukova in the summer after he met her through his third wife, Wendi Deng. Zhukova is said to be a retired molecular biologist who was studying diabetes, including at the University of California, Los...

The 2024 Republican primary is over. Donald Trump will be the nominee, so all attention turns to his running mate. Who will it be? Earlier this month, Trump heavily insinuated that he’d already made his decision but will reveal it later. Like The Apprentice, it’s all about the show, but there are some concerns that he might pick Nikki Haley, who still hasn’t dropped out of her quixotic campaign for the Republican nomination. Trump seems to have ruled her out, calling her a person not made of “presidential timber.”The media has their list, including Vivek Ramaswamy, Tim Scott, Elise Stefanik,...

In a poll conducted by the Wall Street Journal, former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley came out way ahead of President Joe Biden in a general election matchup by a much larger margin than Trump polls against the current president. Haley, the former Governor of South Carolina, showed she would be a formidable general election opponent to Joe Biden, coming out 17 points ahead of the sitting leader, as compared with Trump's four-point lead against him. Haley began surging in the polls after the first GOP debate and has maintained that momentum through last week's fourth debate. A...

This might be Nikki Haley’s moment. Not her moment to become the Republican presidential front-runner. (Don’t be silly.) Not even her moment to nip at Donald Trump’s heels. But it could be her chance to consolidate the anti-Trump support in the GOP, and to make a solid play for the silver medal and maybe a good speaking slot at the RNC in Milwaukee next summer. The former South Carolina governor and United Nations ambassador has risen, slightly, in recent polls, and is now third in RealClearPolitics’ average of national polls, after Trump and Ron DeSantis. She is consistently coming in...

PALM BEACH, Florida — President Donald J. Trump reacted to News Corp mogul Rupert Murdoch standing down from his role as CEO today, in a wide ranging, exclusive interview with The National Pulse set to air early next week.Trump, who has recently been on the receiving end of Murdoch’s influence at Fox News, discussed the issue during a sit down interview at Mar-a-Lago, telling Editor-in-Chief Raheem Kassam, “I wish him luck,” before lauding the Fox hosts who he says have covered his campaign fairly, as well as using the opportunity to praise the late Roger Ailes. On Murdoch’s hostility towards him,...

Rupert Murdoch, the powerful right-wing media mogul who built and oversaw one of the world’s most influential news empires, announced Thursday that he will step down as chairman of his companies, Fox Corporation and News Corporation. “For my entire professional life, I have been engaged daily with news and ideas, and that will not change,” Murdoch, 92, wrote in a memo to employees. “But the time is right for me to take on different roles, knowing that we have truly talented teams.” As the leader of Fox and News Corporation, which publishes influential broadsheets such as The Wall Street Journal...

Is the Republican race for presidential nominee over before any votes are cast? Some people sure would like it to be. “It’s over!” Trump supporters declare with the assured enthusiasm of a Mets fan at spring training. This is our year! No unforeseen injuries will cripple our chances! We’re going all the way! A closer look at the numbers shows a ballgame very much in progress. There’s no doubt Trump is a unique political phenomenon. He makes people feel something. They vote with their heart for Trump. He’s magnetic. But just as magnets attract, they repel. Yes, Trump is polling...

A super PAC set up to back Ron DeSantis with $50 million is closing as donors backed out - while its founder said the Florida governor's campaign was guilty of 'rookie s**t' mistakes and he will now back Donald Trump. John Thomas, a Republican strategist known as the 'Billy the Kid of Political Battles' set up 'Ron to the Rescue' in November and had secured financial commitments from mega-wealthy donors. But he said the donors began having second thoughts after the botched DeSantis campaign launch on Twitter Spaces in May.

Are you Desantis people paying attention yet? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By now we are all too familiar with the schemes and plots of the corporate media as they participate in the political illusion of choice game. However, for Rupert Murdoch and Fox News debate moderator Martha MacCallum, this catch shreds the remaining little credibility they carried. Fox News is hosting the GOP debate in Wisconsin. During this build up segment, Martha MacCallum introduces the “random Republican voters” in Wisconsin who will watch the debate. Except, well… there’s a little problem. MacCallum introduces Chris Lawrence as a “Wisconsin GOP voter” who seemingly supports...

VIDEORupert Murdoch has been attempting to manipulate the American political system AWAY from President Donald Trump ever since he chose Chris Stirewalt to report from the Fox News election desk on Election Night 2020. That's when Stirewalt chose to ignore calling Florida for Trump for hours despite an early overwhelming lead in that state yet bizarrely called Arizona for Biden just minutes after the polls closed there. Ever since then, Murdoch has been pulling down the Fox News ratings by continually slamming Trump and now promoting other candidates, most notably Ron DeSantis. As you can see in this Fox News...

Other than being large-state governors who have seen a future president in the bathroom mirror each day, California Democrat Gavin Newsom and Florida Republican Ron DeSantis don’t have a lot in common. Newsom has led a state government totally controlled by his party to create something of a progressive laboratory on issues ranging from climate change to abortion rights to protections for undocumented immigrants. DeSantis, of course, has made his alleged conversion of Florida into a cultural and regulatory paradise for reactionaries – where “woke goes to die” – the signature of his once-formidable, now flailing presidential bid. Both these...

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is running ads to promote the impending one-on-one debate against rival Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom amid their ongoing coast-to-coast feud. "Ron DeSantis is debating Gavin Newsom to highlight the choice facing American voters next year," the talking points added later. The campaign also released ads to promote the debate and encourage voters to "choose their fighter." "Who do you support?" the arcade game-themed advertisement reads.

Former President Donald Trump’s political action committee has paid the French-born stylist who designed Melania Trump’s inaugural ball gown more than $260,000 for “strategy consulting” since the start of last year, filings with the Federal Election Commission show. Hervé Pierre Braillard was paid $108,000 by the Save America PAC during the first six months of 2023, receiving the money in increments of $18,000 each month, according to a half-year report filed with the FEC Monday night.Braillard, who goes by Hervé Pierre professionally, also received $152,500 in 2022, broken down into eight monthly payments of $18,000 between May and December of...
