Vice President Kamala Harris, realizing the limited reach of mainstream news outlets, spent the week reaching millions of Americans through appearances on the podcast “Call Her Daddy,” CBS’s “The Late ith Stephen Colbert,” the daytime chat show “The View,” Howard Stern on SiriusXM and even the Weather Channel. If you caught them, many of these interviews were revealing and meaty, covering a wide range of policy topics.

Is The Washington Post in full-scale collapse? A recent look at the numbers provides a fairly convincing answer to that question. According to the report, not only is the Post losing $100 million a year, but it lost over half of its online engagement by the end of 2023. The signs were already there by mid-year, and the worst has come to pass. See: The Washington Post Is Facing a Financial Buzzsaw“Of that audience, less than one in five read more than a single article per month, while less than one in 500 actually convert to a paying subscription.”— Josh...

The biggest concern is what GEC paid Park Advisors to do: fund and coordinate the censorship of Americans’ speech and our supposedly free press. The State Department’s Global Engagement Center used a cutout corporation headed by a former intelligence officer to fund and promote the blacklisting of conservative media outlets and other censorship endeavors, research by The Federalist reveals. When Elon Musk gave a group of independent journalists access to internal Twitter communications, the resulting “Twitter Files” quickly revealed the existence of a Censorship-Industrial Complex that included an array of federal agencies colluding with social media companies to censor disfavored...

Iran's currency is in free-fall, falling almost 10% over the weekend, breaking through the psychologically important half-million mark to more than 600,000 rials to the dollar. The plunging currency led the Tehran bazaar to close, an event that preceded the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Just a few dozen miles across the border, Iraqi Kurds were watching developments closely, questioning how quickly the rial rate could fall below 1 million and the consequences.

hough Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) events at local libraries are presented as innocuous, family-friendly gatherings that help elevate historically oppressed sexual minorities, their real purpose is deliberately subversive. “The drag queen might appear as a comic figure,” Chris Rufo writes in a recent expose in City Journal, “but he carries an utterly serious message: the deconstruction of sex, the reconstruction of child sexuality, and the subversion of middle-class family life." According to queer theory advocate Gayle Rubin, traditional concepts of sex and gender were mythologies constructed by powerful, heteronormative forces that sought to persecute those with non-conforming sexual orientations,...

As we previously reported, Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter has caused no shortage of meltdowns along with attention-seeking announcements from Very Important People™ who claim they are quitting the platform in disgust (but who will no doubt slither back on later because they just won’t be able to stay away). ===== SNIP ===== But while it’s exciting to think that some of the most obnoxious leftists you’ve ever come across in the media, in Hollywood, and in the D.C. swamps may indeed be picking up their ball and going home, it was a threat to leave from one in particular...

WASHINGTON (JTA) — Bernie Sanders launched a campaign video highlighting his Jewish identity and casting President Donald Trump as part of the white nationalist threat. The four-minute video posted Thursday night on Sanders’ Twitter feed, interpolates excerpts from Sanders’ speech last year to J Street, the liberal Jewish Middle East policy group, with commentary by Joel Rubin, the campaign’s Jewish outreach director. It starts with Sanders’ declaration of pride in being Jewish. “I’m very proud to be Jewish and look forward to becoming the first Jewish president in the history of this country,” Sanders says. During his 2016 run for...

It is not often that you see Democrats tear up over a message from former vice president Dick Cheney. However, his campaign ad for his eldest daughter, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) — part swan song, part defiance, part nostalgia — tells us more about the decrepit state of the GOP than any Democrat’s ad has this cycle. “In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,” he declares. Coming from a former vice president and defense secretary responsible for defending America against hostile nations and foreign terrorists,...

Nervous pundits warn that for the good of the country, the Justice Department ought not to indict Donald Trump, since prosecuting a former president is the sort of thing “banana republics” do. That’s wrong on two grounds. First, it is not up to Attorney General Merrick Garland to decide what’s in the country’s long-term democratic interests. The decision whether to “spare the country” the turmoil surrounding a past president’s criminal trial rests with the chief executive, as was the case under President Gerald Ford. The closest the Justice Department’s prosecutorial guidelines come to that concept is the requirement that a...

Joseph Mahmoud Dibee, 50, was arrested by the FBI and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center at 4:53 p.m. Thursday. He's been wanted for 12 years, after he was indicted in 2006 on charges of arson, conspiracy and animal enterprise terrorism. In 2008, he was believed to have been living in Syria with family members, and federal officials announced a $50,000 reward for his arrest. (FBI) A fugitive sought for more than a decade and accused of taking part in a string of eco-sabotage attacks across the West is in custody in Portland and was to make his...

The MKO’s tendency to cry wolf hinder and obstruct the real fights against the Iranian regime, Iranian terrorism, and the Islamic Republic’s covert nuclear program. The Mujahedin al-Khalq (MKO) formed against the backdrop of the anti-shah opposition in the 1960s and evolved to become an important component of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini’s revolutionary coalition. But Khomeini turned on the MKO as he consolidated his dictatorship. Unlike others forced out of power, persecuted domestically, or sent into exile, the MKO fought back: They both sponsored a terror campaign targeting regime officials—killing many innocent bystanders in the process—and they accepted Iraqi dictator Saddam...

Earlier this year, former Clinton Treasury Secretary and erstwhile Harvard President Larry Summers was pilloried by his fellow Democrats for daring to suggest that the firehose of COVID-inspired fiscal and monetary stimulus would likely cause runaway inflation. Then, over the weekend, Summers doubled down on that (so far, correct) call, warning that inflationary pressures might be more persistent than the Fed’s Chairman Jerome Powell (who continues to insist that price pressures will ultimately be “transitory” despite the FOMC’s decision to move up its expectations for the timing of rate hikes to account for hotter-then-expected inflationary prints) has let on. Now,...

Could Iran develop a nuclear weapon on President Biden’s watch? Yes. While Democrats might blame President Donald Trump’s abrogation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for recent Iranian nuclear violations, they should not: The 2015 Iran deal reversed decades of non-proliferation precedent which demanded a complete accounting and dismantlement of nuclear infrastructure. Exculpating Iran due to hatred of Trump also ignores that Iran is treaty-bound to uphold its Non-Proliferation Treaty Safeguards Agreement commitments. To understand just how close the Islamic Republic is to nuclear weapons, consider the three general components of a nuclear weapons capability: enrichment, warhead design,...

'You need a psychiatrist,' one Twitter user responded to Rubin Washington Post "conservative opinion writer" Jennifer Rubin claimed Thursday she was so moved by this year's Democratic National Convention that she cried more than dozen times during the four-night event. Joe Biden wrapped up the convention Thursday night by officially accepting the Democratic Party's nomination in a well-received speech. His remarks followed impassioned speeches from former President Barack Obama, former first lady Michelle Obama, Biden's wife Jill, and vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris among others.

President Trump has taken to tweeting “LAW & ORDER!” — no doubt a reflection of his aides’ advice that law and order has been a strong card for Republicans (although they might have imagined some messaging less hysterical than “LAW & ORDER!”). Trump bangs that drum loudly, insisting that a radical mob is roaming the country, coming not just for statues but also for your house and children. It is an issue that he certainly wants to highlight, but for a number of reasons, he very likely is helping Democrats to claim the issue of public order and domestic tranquility....

The Chinese Wuhan Virus, also known in the PC version as COVID 19, has been shown to have neurological symptoms. The loss of smell and taste is one such telling symptom, but there is another that can affect even the asymptomatic among the left. Insanity. democrats have shown clearly that they suffer from insanity as they block relief funds from small businesses, calling it a "stunt."Democrats wound up blocking the Republican bill proposing an additional $250 billion to small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program, an existing provision from the previous coronavirus stimulus bill. It gives loans to small business owners to...

The Washington Post’s “conservative blogger” Jennifer Rubin is at it again. This time she’s saying that liberal billionaire Michael Bloomberg could help Democrats by using his vast wealth to support impeaching President Donald Trump. The self-described “conservative blogger” wrote a fairly liberal op-ed Jan. 20 headlined, “Here’s how Bloomberg could help himself, Democrats and America.” The way to “help,” wrote Rubin, was for Bloomberg to: “Spend $50 million or so in the next week on impeachment ads” [emphasis added]. Strange, given that she wrote in January, 2019 (roughly one year ago), that such spending on impeachment ads was “financial wastefulness.”

Sunday on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin called for the shunning and shaming of the supporters of President Donald Trump, which she argued was part of a plan to “burn down” the GOP and start from new. “It’s not only that Trump has to lose, but that all his enablers have to lose,” she said. “We have to collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican Party. We have to level them because if there are survivors — if there are people who weather this storm, they will do it again. They will take this as confirmation that,...
