Former special counsel Robert Hur revealed in Capitol Hill testimony that Biden 'willfully' retained classified materials as a private citizen and gave them to Mark Zwonitzer - the ghost writer of his $8 million book - who later tried to destroy them. Hur arrived on Capitol Hill to offer insight into his devastating classified documents report that painted Biden as 'elderly' and 'forgetful' and with 'diminished faculties,' but did not recommend charges for the president. He pushed back on Democrats who claimed his report cleared Biden of any wrongdoing, saying it 'did not exonerate' the president.

Special Counsel Robert Hur could not determine who had access to Joe Bidenâs stolen classified documents stored at Penn Biden Center because security deleted all the visitor logs from 2017-2021. According to Hur, Joe Biden kept more than 600 pages of classified documents in unlocked drawers/closets at the Penn Biden Center and stored some of them in dilapidated boxes in his Delaware garage and other unsecured locations. The FBI identified numerous folders, including many labeled âEYES ONLY VPOTUSâ which contained highly classified material related to intelligence sources and methods. However, Biden was still not charged and none of his aides,...

Yet another Democratic Party thought leader has demanded that Joe Biden drop out of the 2024 presidential race. Ezra Klein, the co-founder of Vox and now a columnist and podcast host at The New York Times, said he understood that many liberals would be angry at him for calling on Biden to go but that it was necessary. "I want to say this clearly: I like Biden. I think heâs been a good president. I think he is a good president. I donât like having this conversation. And I know a lot of liberals, a lot of Democrats are going...

Sen. Amy Klobuchar rejected the characterization from special counsel Robert Hur that President Biden is an "elderly man with a poor memory," saying she recently spent "over an hour" talking to him and he was fine. "I was with the president for over an hour and talked about so many things, domestic, international. He was focused. His recall was good," Klobuchar told NBC's "Meet The Press." KRISTEN WELKER: Well, let me ask you this. The report described President Biden as a quote, "Elderly man with a poor memory." Do you think the White House should allow the release of the...

Below is a slightly expanded version of my New York Post column on the report that President Joe Biden, not Special Counsel Robert Hur, raised the death of Beau Biden during his interview. The report, now confirmed by various media outlets, suggests that the President lied to the press and the public in his controversial press conference after the release of the Special Counselâs findings. Here is the column: In his press conference following the Special Counsel report on his retention of classified documents, President Joe Biden lashed out at Special Counsel Robert Hur over allegations that he has such...

While Special Counsel Robert K. Hur has raised the issue of mental deterioration in explaining why he declined to prosecute 81-year-old Joe Biden for illegal retention and sharing of classified documents, the president chose another rationale to declare himself not culpable: He shifted the blame to the staffers who boxed up his records as he left the vice presidentâs office in 2017.At a press conference hastily assembled after the reportâs release, Biden said he assumed his aides had shipped âall" the documents to the National Archives in College Park, Md. âI wish I had paid more attention to how the...

One of the things in particular that riled up the Biden White House so much about the Hur report was the mention by Special Counsel Robert Hur that President Joe Biden could not remember the year his eldest son, Beau Biden, tragically passed away. "He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died," Hur wrote in the report. The response by Joe Biden, as we previously reported, was to throw a temper tantrum during the impromptu press conference he held just a few hours after the report's release"There's even reference that I don't remember when my son...

President Joe Biden lashed out at Robert Hur last week over one particular line in the special counsel's report on his handling of classified documents: that Biden "did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died." âHow in the hell dare he raise that?â Biden told reporters in an impromptu White House press conference. âFrankly, when I was asked the question, I thought to myself, it wasnât any of their damn business.â But Hur never asked that question, according to two people familiar with Hurâs five-hour interview with the president over two days last October. It was...

Justice Department special counsel Robert Hur has training in neither psychiatry nor neurology, yet he included an assessment of President Biden's cognitive functioning in his report declining to bring charges for mishandling classified information. Memory assessment is a complex task and cannot be undertaken over five hours in interviews with attorneys.

Jill Biden lashed out at Special Counsel Robert Hur after he released a 345-page report on his investigation of the stolen classified documents. Bidenâs stolen classified documents were scattered all over the place in damaged cardboard boxes and unlocked drawers. The documents were easily accessible in Bidenâs Delaware garage and basement den. Robert Hur found that Joe Biden âwillfully retainedâ classified information, however, he decided not to charge him. Hur said there is evidence Biden retained classified notebooks, âknowing he was not allowed to do so.â The Justice Department defended not bringing charges against Biden because heâs a âsympathetic, well-meaning,...

It was easily one of the notable moments of President Joe Biden's Thursday press conference in which he angrily denounced Special Counsel Robert Hur for highlighting his memory loss several times in his report. Yet Politico neglected to mention how Biden seemingly failed to recall the name of the church he got the rosary from to memorialize his deceased son Beau. Here's that highly embarrassing moment for Biden that shocked viewers yet Politico disingenuously left out of their reports of the press conference.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) defended Joe Bidenâs mental capacity and criticized Special Counsel Robert Hur in remarks to liberal media reporters on Friday. Speaking to a HuffPost reporter, Romney said, âI thought he did a good job in the press conference,â Biden held Thursday night to defend himself from allegations of serious memory issues made in the special counselâs report on Bidenâs criminal mishandling of classified documents. However, Romney noted that Bidenâs age, 81 is a âhuge issueâ in the 2024 election, while also taking a shot at President Trumpâs age. Romney attacked Special Counsel Hur in comments to Raw...

It's long past time for Congress to act to investigate the arguable incapacitation of the president. For the past three years, Americans knew what Democrats refused to admit -- that Joe Biden had entered a cognitive decline that rendered him unfit for office. Democrats and the media insisted that Biden still had energy and vigor, even while every public appearance added evidence to the contrary. Voters had to rely on their own eyes to reach their conclusions that Biden's aphasiac mumbling, stiffness, and repeatedly false recollections indicated that Biden was clearly unfit for office. In poll after poll, majorities of...

video President Biden lashed out at reporters and special counsel Robert Hur Thursday night in response to a scathing report on Bidenâs mishandling of classified documents that could prove devastating to his re-election prospects. The report on Bidenâs improper retention of sensitive material by Hur did not recommend criminal charges, but observed that the 81-year-old commander-in-chief was greatly diminished mentally, forgetting the dates of key events of his life during an interview with investigators. âIâve seen the headlines since the report was released about my willful retention of documents. These assertions are not only just misleading, theyâre just plain wrong,â...

On Thursdayâs broadcast of CNNâs âSituation Room,â Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) argued that Robert Hur, the Special Counsel appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to oversee the classified documents probe of President Joe Biden is a Republican who âintendedâ to raise concerns about Bidenâs age with the âkind of age-discriminatory and age-insulting remarksâ about President Biden in the report. Raskin said, â[T]his Republican special counsel said that Joe Biden had been completely forthcoming and cooperative and theyâre not bringing any criminal charges against him. He did take some gratuitous slaps at Joe Biden because of his age, and a lot...

President Biden delivered remarks at the White House on the Special Counselâs report on classified documents. He highlighted the differences between the investigations into him and former President Trump, then took questions. He addressed the reportâs labeling of him as a âwell-meaning, elderly man with a poor memoryâ saying, âI am well-meaning, and Iâm an elderly man, and I know what the hell Iâm doing.â

Special Counsel Robert Hur described President Biden as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory," and said he would bring no criminal charges against the president after a months-long investigation into his improper retention of classified documents related to national security. Hur's report was made public Thursday afternoon. Hur has been investigating Bidenâs improper retention of classified records since last year. Those records included classified documents about military and foreign policy in Afghanistan, among other records related to national security and foreign policy which Hur said implicated "sensitive intelligence sources and methods."
