    Two San Diego Police Department officers have been placed on paid leave after they shot and wounded a robbery suspect who pointed a gun at one of the officers during a confrontation in downtown Saturday night. The suspect, Hurtado Ibarra, 25, of San Diego, suffered life-threatening injuries. He was hospitalized in an intensive care unit. The incident remains under investigation by the District Attorney’s Office.

    The store is Dixie Gun and Pawn and the store owner’s name is Jimmy Groover. Action News 5 reports that Groover was wearing a handgun on his hip when the suspects entered the store.     SAN DIEGO – Detectives Thursday arrested a man suspected of carrying out three recent mid-city bank heists while sporting women's clothing and makeup. Members of a regional bank robbery task force took 37-year-old Robnay Hosaka into custody, according to the FBI. Investigators believe Hosaka is the so-called "Cat-Eye Bandit," who passed demand notes at Union Bank branch offices on Oct. 14, Oct. 19 and Monday. During the crimes, the robber wore women's clothing, including a pink bra, and sported lip gloss, pancake makeup and French-manicured fingernails.
