Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell expressed concern Thursday about Republicans’ ability to take back the Senate during the upcoming November midterms, as polls show GOP candidates trailing Democrats in key races. “I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different, they’re statewide, candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” McConnell told reporters, according to Frank Thorp V of NBC News.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Thursday said that he's going to do everything in his power to help fellow GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski win reelection this November. "It's important for Lisa to be reelected. She's one of the few, sort of moderates in the middle of the Senate," the top Republican said during an interview with Axios' Jonathan Swan. McConnell praised Murkowski, who's served in the Senate for 20 years, as "a key player in advancing bipartisan legislation." "We're going to do everything we can to make sure she's successful," he said.

Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Mitt Romney Monday said they will vote for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to be confirmed to the Supreme Court, bringing the total expected GGOP votes for Jackson's confirmation up to three. "After reviewing Judge Jackson’s record and testimony, I have concluded that she is a well-qualified jurist and a person of honor," Romney, R-Utah, said. "While I do not expect to agree with every decision she may make on the Court, I believe that she more than meets the standard of excellence and integrity."

ORLANDO — Former President Donald Trump may be one of the most important influencers in the 2022 election, but House Republicans are huddling without him in his home state of Florida as they craft a message that can help them win back the majority next year. Lawmakers gathered in Orlando beginning on Sunday for an annual, three-day issues conference to help chart a course on messaging and policy priorities for the next 18 months. There will be no pep talk from the former GOP president, who helped create a schism within the party on what role, if any, Trump should...

Speaking Saturday at the conservative National Review Institute summit, Cruz said, “Let me give three concrete bits of advice to conservatives in Washington, and in particular let me address this to our friends in the House of Representatives, who I think for the next two years are the last bastion standing between us and oblivion,” the freshman senator told a gathering of conservatives at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. “The first thing I would urge to every Republican in the House of Representatives is stop reading the New York Times,” he said. “Cancel your subscription.” “Listen, the media...

On night two of the Republican National Convention, Fox News Channel was once again the network more people went to to get their political fix. That said, every network was down substantially from the same night in 2008, when Sarah Palin made her RNC debut.

Based upon talking to multiple sources over a period of weeks, I've been able to confirm that a deal struck between the Barbours, Henry and Haley, and Reince Priebus, is set to put Nick Ayers in at the RNC as political director to pave the way for Barbour's 2012 Presidential bid. Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour is trying to get his southern claws around the RNC as one of his cronies, Nick Ayers, the 28 year old Republican Governors Association Director, is being pumped up to challenge an already embattled Michael Steele. Incoming Republican Governor Association Chairman, Texas Gov. Rick Perry,...
