This is one of those “stealth” races prime for an upset. The media ignore the race, and that can work to the challengers advantage. It is possible for a well structured insurgent campaign by Republican candidate Bob Flanders to use the Kavanaugh momentum and unseat Democrat incumbent senator Sheldon Whitehouse.

State police said they arrested Anne Armstrong, 58, and Alan Gordon, 48 -- the Compassion Party’s candidates for governor and attorney general, respectively -- after a search at the pair’s home uncovered nearly 50 pounds of marijuana. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, the aristocratic leftist from Rhode Island, put on one of the sleaziest displays ever seen in the history of American politics the other day. His revolting insistence that Kavanaugh and his Catholic teenage classmates, were in fact referring to deviant behaviors such as 3 ways and rapes rather than innocent behaviors of teenage boys like farting and the F word - was revolting to its core. He must be defeated. Good news: he has an opponent that some sources suggest could be internally polling as high as 40% to Whitehouse's 48%, with 12% undecideds in Rhode Island....

If Senate Democrats sweep into power in November, they will likely probe the sexual misconduct allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, according to a Democrat in the chamber. "I am confident of that, and I think we'll also be investigating why the FBI stood down its background investigation when this came up in this particular background," said Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Thursday during a interview with CNN. He also acknowledged that such an effort would happen even if Kavanaugh has already been appointed to the court.

It isn’t supposed to happen this way in Democrat Medialand. In deep blue Oregon and super nova blue Rhode Island Democrats are thought to be just so loved by the people that the governor’s race in both states should be donkey party walkovers. But that’s just not happening. The two Democrat damsels in distress, Governor Kate Brown of Oregon and Governor Gina Raimondo of Rhode Island aren’t supposed to be home campaigning to save their jobs, they are supposed to be out organizing fund raisers to bring Venezuelan socialism to all of America not just their states; but they aren’t....
